Help VPN app on an Android stick?

Hey has anyone had any problems finding one that works?
I tried the top 10 lastnight and nothing :(
Not sure if its just my stick (certain tv streaming apps claim it's rooted when it isn't, this is why I wanna try a VPN)

Have you tried using the built in VPN settings and using VPNbook to connect?
If you need info on connecting click on the how to section
www.vpnbook.com/
Then click on Android under PPTP

Do you think a vpn will stop apps from thinking it's rooted?

PS I just had a quick look and a UK vpn doesn't seem to be listed which is what I need. Do you know if that's available?

Vpnbook doesn't have a UK one and a VPN probably won't stop apps from thinking it's rooted. It's probably prerooted since it's Chinese. Have you tried CyberGhost?

Nope. What is it mate? And ive checked with terminal command "su" and it's not rooted, root checker and titanium agree.
And the manufacturer's emails are rediculous lol :D
EDIT sorry just found CyberGhost on Play. I'll give it a try later mate cheers :thumbsupdroid:
 
Seems to be working, no errors but when I select a county I get a blank white screen.
And I'm not sure how to test if it's working lol.
To make things worse my TV stick is running low on storage already grr :D
 
Too sleepy to mess around with it tonight/morning (0743 lol) . I'll have a proper go at it tomorrow.

Right. I didn't get that far mate. I'll give it a go tomorrow. The UI seems a bit "clunky" but at least it didn't straight out tell me it wasn't compatible.
