Help Where is the Google Settings icon on Android?

Sorry for misleading - Google Settings indeed doesn't appear as a distinct app in the App Manager. So it's obviously a different entry point into one of the other apps (same as "Contacts" or "People" and "Phone" just open the same app in different tabs).

I don't know why you can't see it on any of your devices (I have it on both of my current devices, running 4.4.2 and 5.0.2 respectively). Hiding it from the app drawer would be the obvious answer. I wonder whether anyone with an LG device would like to comment, since 2 out of your 3 devices are LGs.

Is the "Google App" you mention this one? That seems just to be a google search app, from the description.

How about Settings mate?

or is that the system settings?

Something very strange has happened. I have spent all morning Googling for answers to refresh the App Drawer. But nothing seemed relevant.
Then opened the App Drawer yet again and still nothing showing. So decided one last try and stayed in the App Drawer and clicked to search for Google Settings. It came up and I managed to drag the icon to my Home screen. Also found Google App icon and Google+. So am pleased But is there any way I can add them into the App Drawer?
I haven't hidden them before as checked that.

Something else strange.. I had dragged the icons to the main home screen but decided to move them to another But it wont let me they just disappear! So I had to add them again.

Yes - Google+ (and a number of others) ought to be showing in the app drawer as well.

Back in the day, when the app drawer was missing stuff often a battery pull would fix it.

If you can't do that here, try the appropriate key combination for a power reset (NOT a factory data reset).

Failing that, Google for -

your-phone-model clear cache recovery

And try that, it won't erase data. Mind that that is for clearing the main cache partition, not app caches - the app manager won't be involved.

Failing that, try Nova launcher, see if everything else shows up.

If that works, you can try to clear data on your launcher from the app manager - but you're probably going to have to Google for the name on each device involved.

And on the other hand, if you're using the same custom launcher on all your devices, then it's gone wrong and would explain why you can't see it on multiple devices you have.

Thanks for answering but don't feel comfortable doing that.

It's a Sammy thing. They threw all the Samsung apps in a folder by default too and i kept scratching my head when I first got this thing. I think you have to think in Korean for it to work. ;)

Thanks Early cant believe i missed that.
Shpuld have realised it was an LG thing.

Have spent days looking for the answer.
You are a star 10 out of 10.

Thanks all for the input.:)
