Root [Root] LG Leon MetroPCS

Do I need computer to gain twrp it doest say anything in the thtead about that I dont want to brick installing so whats this make sure correct patition anybody know? Im rooted as of a sec ago but am unsure how to install twrp I knw its c50 2.8.7.0 TWRP but upon installatiom it says if not correct partition than it may brick sooooo ya i dnt like sound of that..... Scratch this please you do not have to have a PC

Volume keys are on the back of the phone. You can download the TWRP in the CM12 thread and use flashify to install it, be sure to flash it to recovery partition, not boot
 
Uhhh tried supersu me everything went fine it asked me if i wanted to reboot i tapped yes and it never rebooted bast metro logo jus took it back and this is my only leon theyre gnna comp me so i gotta get this right does it matter what kingroot version one uses I used 4.0.5 and supersu me went fine i havent put twrp in yet should i have done that first before su zip? I need a lil guidance here plz anybody there are 2 versions TWRP Manager asks if you want to install 2.8 or lower I want 2.8 right?
 
Sorry so im confused do i use TWRP Manager app or flashify and dont i need TWRP to be able to use flashify? Sorry all the postin I had to run to metro to get another leon supersu me app went tbrough i hit reboot and my system was gone metro luckily gave me another leon i read read read but still not sure how to go about gsining TWRP exactly I have lte2 on my f6 and thats easy install boot into recovery and done but i read loki is patched now. So ya Im rooted again just aftaid to do the TWRP MANAGER way or anyway because supersume humg and soft bricked me mo TWRP NO backups so is there a method to follow I mean I been doin alot of resrarch just prob should have twrp before su switch on kingroot uggghhhh i hope i can install twrp without dame thing happening that did with su transfer that went great till i rebooted
 
So cm12 thread download TWRP and flash using flashify? So no TWRP Manager app to do this go to a cm12 site? Ok I do some searching around. Oh do i go for 2.8.7.0 TWRP version? And bootloader is NOT locked right? Sorry that supersu me scared me off from the TWRP Istall because supersume from playstore soft bricked me after i hit reboot. I noticed it advised my to set it up through TWR Or CMW but I didnt install that yet should I go install TWRP most updated version c50 2.8.7.0 then use flashify and flash updated SU Zip?

Rocovery partiton? Will that be labled recovery partition in TWRPS install file manager so I will now?

Oh ok i got you recovery not boot options inside flashify no got cha load and clear ok i downloaded the image from the link you sent me so just recovery, flash, good to go?

Ok I flashed TWRP IMG off ext sd card onto internal partition flashed an rebooted, keypress into TWRP. YAAAAAAAAA BAAAAABYYY its 2.8.7.0 er somthin has yellow trim hope its the right one. Now can I flash a SU ZIP 4. 27 er somthin like that any way ya anybody knw if i can flash su zip and im done postin away i assure you its the last step i need the easyest safest route to because when i brick my leon earlyer so plz anybody i been diggin but feel safer flashin zip to do this on a stock rom like this if possible

Please know that I do read and rooted this myself and thanks for the recovery help Honcho and good look forgiven, I do my research I do before i got on the forums just 2 months ago I googled and read and read so Im not trying to get you guys to be my whipping boys I rooted and recovery placed TWRP on my F6 flashed Xperion n carbon blah blah blah. Anyway thks guys. Just dont know about that supersu me app so ya can i flash it maybe on this stock rom Im wondering? Then Im all set guys and got it from here.

Batterys runnin a tad warm and my phone wont charge past 36

Tried that, got hung up on metropcs logo, sofrt bricked basically. I have TWRP but no way to run a system until a rom comes out (Which I'm willing to pay a great deal to any developers involved, Hroark maybe GT will come up with somthin I renamed my files for my initial TWRP backup after I flashed the zip using flashify, then I tried like hell to remove kinroot for SU like 3 diffent ways notta one took and actually I'm on my second Leon with recovery but my backup its like not recognizes so......ya waiting patiently on a ROM. till then its my somewhat mount broken LG F6. Man I wish there was at least a stock ROM I could flash for my Leon..... Sucks;-(
 
KDZ ya don't I need a computer or can I just download KDZ onto my F6 SD Card and pop SD card in the Leon and flash or is that not how that works? & I don't have a PC looks like I'm out of luck till somebody CM idk somebody builds a ROM for the Leon. That's how I got my F6 working again after a soft brick. Found Carbon and Xperion ROM I run carbon right now just YUP! just waiting on a ROM for the Leon man so I can use the phone again ;-(

Well I wiped the stock ROM won't boot up anyway its not like I can use it, I wiped & formated now its asking me if I want to install SU because I luckily have updated SU Zip in TWRP ready to root my phone when I can flash a OS so that looks good for when a ROM comes out I can root with su before ROM is flashed. I been re-naming the nandroid file I made inside TWRPs filemanager. I can see the zips but when I go to install them they just disappear I can see em flicker when I press zips. I put backup on internal put it back on SD Card trying everything as I have read I need to rename the folder to my nandroid and I've named it different things still won't be recognized. What good is a nandroid if TWRP doesnt recognize the backup to begin with? Damn we..... well I deffinetly need a ROM built for this Leon, if I can't use my nandroid which is ridiculous no sense in even making one renaming does notta. So ya Unless anybody has a trick to get TWRP to recognize a nandroid, looks like I'm waiting for a ROM to flash. At least The update su zip is ready to root a ROM when and if there is one ever built, Come on CyanogenMod let's get a ROM and kernel for this badboy it be sooooooo sweet!!!

Tried the CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM says its for ms345 wich is firware 10b c50 which is what I have but I knoticed it read 5.1.1 so can we keep root and upgrade I already have my system set up to install superSU when a ROM comes out. Just wondering how anybody else's luck went and if you just need to update it over wifi ? In my case no kingroot I wiped the OS and have the su zip in TWRPS file manager asking if I want to slide bar and root, now I just need an OS. bummer about Cyanogen not being for 5.0.1 firmware.

Thanks and sorry I'll make sure I add on to a post rather than create more. Just like to say there's a new Xposed installer update 3.0 for lollipop, I read ppl were having issues with 2.6.1 on the Leon which propubly means any lollipop firmware I'm guessing.
