Yeah, I wouldn't put too much stock in these new plan rumors floating around. Sprint knows the one major advantage they have over every other carrier is their package prices. Just have to wait and see but I'm not concerned.
Isn't that just the standard Everything Plus dealy?
Hopefully it is, because I'm on SERO right now and want to switch over to the Everything Plus Referral plan (59.99 a month with 500 minutes and unlimited text / data).
in a year.A while back there were questions about where to find an HDMI cable for the EVO.
These folks will have them when the phone is released and they run in 1.5 - 10 foot lengths.

They are very expensive!!
They are very expensive!!
I have seen several places where it is saying the phone will be coming out with the OLED not the TFT.. which if that is true would be wonderful

Is anyone else NOT mad about sprint's apparent decision to launch this June 6th (After all the recent news i.e. radioshack's 4 week guide, etc I really think June 6th is the day)? I read these forums daily and rarely drop an opinion but why are there not more people up in arms with sprint about potentially releasing a phone at or around the same week as a new iphone? Does anyone else not see the utter stupidity in that? Did they not learn anything from the palm pre? They keep shooting themselves in the foot and then wonder why they are bleeding users....UGH!
At the end of the day, June 6th is easy for me as it marks my one year purchase of the PRE...but this is a huge mistake to wait...
anyone? anyone? beuhler?
Post where you've seen them for less.
I don't think $24.95 for a 3' one is that expensive. I'm sure we'll see cheap aftermarket ones from Asia and on ebay, so you can wait for them and their questionable quality.
This is a reputable company with good products.
To each his own!!
I am not up in arms because I still think you will be able to order/pre-order the phone before June 6..
Agreed that that is a nice option but sprint won't be losign customers like you and me. It's other users who will not know anything about this phone cause it will be drowned out by all the iphone coverage. It doesn't matter what the new iphone comes with (short of giving me money), I am not switching out of sprint...but they don't need to worry about me...its the undecided people who they are missing out on.
No, at the time the Moment was $99 at the Sprint store. So they will at times charge more for upgrade then Sprint will for upgrade. At least they do here in local stores. Couple months back at Radio Shack they had Pre's $29 for new customers, $179 for upgrade.

I agree to a point about what you said about Apple fans will always buy Apple (paraphrased), but I also think the Evo needs to be out sooner for several reasons. Without going into a huge rant here is a little of my opinion. Apple, like several other big names we know is in the brainwashing business if you will. Slick ads coupled with loyal zombies and peer pressure are the weapons. If the Evo comes out early enough with some smart advertising it may be able to draw the potential NEW Apple zombie before they drink to much of the kool aid. Although if the Evo comes out around the same time of the announcement of a new iPhone or the release of said iPhone I fear it will be bad for the Evo. Why? Once again the new consumer will be subject to the myriad of Apples advertisement / brainwashing and zombie peer pressure. Apple will release a phone with last years tech yet they will put a spin on it and make it look new or better like they always do, even though they have been playing catch up in my opinion. Sorry this post was still kind of long and it is just my opinion. One thing I have always said that. The Iphone is not a challenge per say for the IPHONE.. If people are Apple fans they will not be swayed.. If you are looking for a good phone then EVO is for you..
I truly believe the Iphone is a non issue for Sprint selling of the EVO..

If Apple delivers a better product on a comparable network as the EVO there is nothing Sprint can do..
A quicker launch date or slicker ad campaign will not be enough to over come the Apple machine if it is in fact a comparable product to the EVO..
Sprint has a winner on its hands.. A better product and a faster network to run it on.
They also have targeted Industries, business and rural expansion areas with it's associations with its resellers..
They have nothing to fear right now.
Yeah, if they deliver a better product but from what I have seen it is another 3.5 inch screen that MIGHT be HD. And just alot more of look we can multitask (finally sort of) and we have folders (hello 1999). Just a lot more catch up but Apple calls it REVOLUTIONARY! Hey I had the first iPhone and the 3g but it is getting old real fast. I mean come on, last year Apple was like "You can send picture messages from your iPhone!" Wow! like 13 years ago!If Apple delivers a better product on a comparable network as the EVO there is nothing Sprint can do..

while i appreciate your enthusiasm, how can you feel that way? they are "bleeding" customers. Is that not something to fear? What happens if apple says verizon is getting the iphone? ...now all our comfort with a "better network" goes out the window.
