Root [ROM][RC][5.1.1] CyanogenMod 12.1 9/1/2015

What's up guys... Shayne is the new pal I've been helping out. I gave him the link to xposed sdk22 v70, and also hooked him up with the original sdk22 zip after the v70 didn't work. He flashed both with twrp and still has no xposed installer in his app drawer..... Any ideas?
That's just the frame work after u flash that u need to get the apk on xda then u should b ready to go its a little touchy on lollipop ROMs keep looking in the xda site and see if u can get a log and post it here phen can look at the log hope this helps u

Yes. Leave the zip alone. DL Xposed framework.apk from here..

Edit. Oops, I see. But still, use apk only.

Just curious... I've been using xposed lollipop since alpha, before there were apks to install. The zips have worked fine for me. You know way more about these things than I do @bcrichster, so I was wondering if there is a reason you say to avoid the zips. I am only asking to increase my understanding.

ok ill try that when im done re-flashing 5.1.1 cynomod. it bootlooped cause of something i did
Oh crap!! I also just realized that in big bold print on the Xposed threads is a statement that explicitly says that Xposed is for Stock based ROMs only and customs like CM almost never work..

I've never used the apk (didn't ever know there was one til a few hours ago). The zips have always given me xposed installer app in both CM12.1 and PAC 5.1 for the Zmax. Just so u know....

I avoid zips at first on new phones & OS's until I have a better idea of the folder structure in the system as some zips have folders & updater scripts that'll overwrite a folder &/or apk's that'll be necessary for phone ROM function and end in cases like yours where you have a bootloop or soft brick.. Xposed modifies System & framework (essential to function) In which case you have to wipe & do everything over again, which can eat up data, time, & patience. [emoji12]

OK then, sounds awesome. They must've finally gotten around that with LP. Sweet! Ty- [emoji41]
