No it was a post about bodily functions that was unnecessary. And it wasn't me, it was Slug.

No that was further down the page and all I did was quote polka on that. I am refering to the second post on this page that was right after jackson telling everyone he was leaving. The one that had a link that supposedly showed the circles on the phone gone.

Fine, I restored it..

Thank you, Trident. That was really cool of you sir. I'm not trying to cause you grief I just couldnt understand what was in it that made it inappropriate. Thanks again!

EDIT
I removed the rest of what he said at the bottom also so now there is no mention of the other issue in it. Thanks again

AND he doesn't even bother telling anybody here apparently. considering he was one of the guys that wanted to start this section of the forum, its a punk move. i wanna use a different word besides punk, but i wont....

and now that there's more than 3 ppl on the forum over there, it's riddled with slowness and server errors. effing hilarious! FAIL
I don't know what I did or said to you mcbtrain, but I don't appreciate your comments. What you're saying about me is slanderous and against the forum rules. I don't expect everyone to like me, but I don't expect someone to be so disrespectful either.

Sprint said they had some surprises up their sleeves for this phone. they made it sound like it was a big surprise. i doubt a minor bump up in some spec that's meaningless to 99% of the masses is what they had in mind - ie 1X GB RAM vs. 2X GB RAM. i have a feeling it's something bigger.

any guesses?

Doesn't it refuse to launch without them plugged in?

someone with an Incredible will have to answer this. my guess EVO will be the same. i stream my Hot 97 and Bloomberg but local FM Radio will be nice as an option since it doesn't burn through the battery as fast.

the headphones i assume function as the FM antenna but you'd think that wouldn't be required in 2010.

i would have liked HTC to squeeze a secondary external speaker and have native stereo speaker sound output. prop that puppy up on its kickstand and you have a little boombox for the pool/beach.

I do remember the demonstration guys saying there would be more surprises closer to launch date.

I sure want to know what they are!! Maybe Froyo upon launch or soon there after.

why not give us the answer rather than make me read all that?

Glad to see you still have your same spunk, Gordon. :)

Basically - your mileage may very. You need the headphones for any hope at a decent signal. Even then there's no guarantee. No word on whether or not it launches without headphones plugged in.

my guess is that its some killer app that the general public can appreciate. i when i say "app" i don't mean software app necessarily - i mean "application". hence - i don't think it will be some tech spec X vs. Y or some mundane software app. it will be a killer app 4G related.

One of the biggest shocks with the handset is that it lacks any headphones in the packaging – which sticks out like a sore thumb because it looks like every high-end HTC offering comes packed with one. To add further insult to the situation, the FM Radio requires you to plug in a pair of headphones to get it to work. Despite all of that, it’s actually a novelty feature for the Android line-up of HTC and comes with a super simple interface. Still, what’s important here is the application is snappy and equipped with functional RDS that detects radio channel names instantaneously.

So, there's that.

thanks polka girl. i can't call you kate anymore since you nixed your pic.

does anyone here want a second external speaker on the back for stereo output? it is 2010. why should i put up with mono?

It would be nice, but honestly, considering the size available on the back of the phone, what quality of sound would we be talking about even if there were two speakers for stereo output? I've never owned a phone with an external speaker, so I'm actually wondering what kind of sound one typically gets from an external phone speaker.

I figure that most of the time I'll be listening to music via the EVO, it will be with headphones in, or running it through my stereo system at home.
