Root [H631/MS631] CyanogenMod 12.1 for LG G Stylo

https://github.com/TeamRegular/android_kernel_lge_msm8916/commits/cm-12.1-lg it's already done. I had to manually apply it since the cm kernel is ahead of LG's :( took about an hour. Now I'm preparing to download 4 kdz for Leon T-mobile/Metro 10f and Stylo T-mobile/Metro 10J. Once I have all the blobs updated to latest release I will build and upload for both devices. Once tested and confirmed booting I will merge in the latest CAF branch for 8916 to bring us up to date with any qcom improvements and bug fixes to the kernel.
How do I flash this?

You shouldn't be at this thread. You must be rooted, have a custom recovery installed that's made for your phone and the rest is mostly reading directions. Directions are not included in this thread because you really shouldn't be here if you don't know how to flash it. :)
I tried flashing it with TWRP but it always fails.

So will this overwrite anything on my current 7-14 build, such as my apps and settings? Or is it just a kernel fix that will fix the GPS and LED and leave everything the way it is?

All data will be kept intact.
Do I need to compile this on my own or just download the zip? Because downloading and trying to flash the zip always gives me a Failed error at the end of me trying to flash it. I've re downloaded it multiple times so i dont think its a bad download. Sorry fo the questions, im new to github

@DQScott95 @ButtsCarlton The link I posted is the kernel source and cannot be flashed to the device. It was merely linked to show I finished adding support for the new stylo revision. There has not been a new build, but I have linked another dev my work who has the device so they can test notification LED implementation. If the LED is still having issue, I have all the proper source available to compile a new build when he responds tomorrow or maybe in a few days. When there is a new build, the link will be posted on here stating there is a new build with a change log.

Ok thank you so much Noobified. I appreciate all of your hard work and am in love with CM12, this is the first device ive had with a "near fully stable" of Cyanogen ROM. I don't comment much but thank you for getting back to me quickly.

You are THE man.

So I just got my computer and I'm looking to build some rooms for this phone. I own it and I see the potential that it has. I'm just starting out though this would be my first time building a rom. I'm a computer tech though so I think I can pick it up quick. Can you guys recommend any resources, reading, applications that will make this easier?

that would be awesome...cyanogen mod is cool but id really like slimrom or pac or any other rom that has more bells and whistles than cyanogen..unfortunately i have no idea how to make a rom and thus no sources of info to share with you...hopefully someone else can help out

Those are some of my favorites too. I'm gonna look into it more. Like I said I'm starting from scratch so don't know how long it will take me to get a booting rom.
