Root How to root Verizon Galaxy S4 with Lollipop (5.0.1)

Hello all I trying to root the following s4
Model: Samsung Galaxy S4
Carrier: Verizon
Android version: 5.0.1
Build number: LRX22C.I545VRUG0F1
Model number: SCH-I545
Can any help? Thanks

I also have a Verizon SCH-I545 that was running a rooted version of Kit Kat. I did the upgrade without knowing that you couldn't downgrade back if you wanted to. This was right when Lollipop came out. Anyway told Verizon iIwas having major software issues after the update and they sent me another phone based on my warranty. Now a buddy of mine created a flash able upgrade to OC1 which you can retain root on and also can downgrade back to kit Kat through Odin. Search XDA for it.
Good luck

Posting so I can get updates in this thread.

So far I tried Kingroot and nothing came of it. (Also why was is in Japanese?)

I upgraded with Kies because I came across a link and figured it's been long enough to clean out the bugs. I didn't read ahead about rooting, I figured it would be handled already.

I call bullshit on anyone who says

KING ROOT 4.0 4.1 4.5 and Web Based
KONGOROOT SW and Web Based
CW AUTOROOT
TOWEL PIE ROOT
SRSROOT

Works. Partly because everyone who says it does.. no one has even tried to post any proof, partly because most people say it doesn't work but mainly because I have tried everything myself and it doesn't work.

None of them have bricked my phone either but a couple have injected Spyware, nothing too serious and easy to get rid of. The programs are worth keeping and using just not on 5.0.1 vzw SCH-I545 atm.

Thanks to everyone who has tried and everyone else who makes this site and Android what it is.. and no this isn't my first account, I just forgot my old info.

Well so far, I've tried King Root (Whatever is the most recent patch as of 10/3/15) Web and Apk, And Towel Pie Root, and both come up negative, and no spyware has been detected. I think, King Root may have worked before the last software patch that Samsung pushed out.
If my memory serves me correctly, there was a patch about 4 weeks ago.

I will be upgrading to the LG G4 however, from what I hear the rooting is even more so impossible on Verizons side of things..

I just want to remove all the bloatware, ****.

I tried the latest KingRoot as well (4.52), and it ends up saying "Root strategy unavailable". I also tried versions 4.0.1.237 and 4.1.0.703 with similar results.

Picked up a used s4, i545 today already on 5.0.1, OC1 and I threw everything on the Web at it to try and achieve root. Nothing worked. Only thing I can think of is that must have received a kernel patch blocking Kingroot. My kernel date is March 30 2015.

Ibeen searching all ovee the web to find an answer but no luck is this method of rooting compatible with prepaid verizon s4 any help greatly appreciated
This is for the SCH-i545 Verizon S4. If that's your model it will work. If you on OC1,you don't need to flash kernel.

Model number will be under battery and I think settings-about phone. Software version will be listed there also

Ok here is info i found model sch i545pp baseband i545ppvruaoh7 kernel version 3.4.0 build number lrx22c.i545ppvruaoh7 tjis is why i was asking if its compatible because where it should say oc1 of1 it says aoh7

The i545pp is one that I haven't seen or know anything about. I think it would be safe to try just using the One Click Root Tool in the Mobile Share software. Like all others,if it doesn't work should just get "root fail" but try at your on risk. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Thanks still helpful

The last three characters of the software version is how you tell which is most current version. It goes up alphanumerically. OF1 more current than OC1. Your OH7 had me scratching my head.
