Root Odex

I just wanted to share something I did that greatly reduced the delay when you boot up your volt. I used the app lucky patcher to odex my system apps because it said it reduces storage so I did it. And now it loads the os much faster then before. Nothing bad should happen but if it does don't blame me...

Yeah, that's why stock systems are odexed. ROMs are usually deodexed because modding is much simpler, and only possible in deodexed apks in some cases. Basically comes down to performance vs customization.

I removed your link as the tool you mention also allows you to bypass In App Purchases and can be used for Piracy.

Would this do the job on the Volt: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2527268

Does that apply to lollipop?
Also there is a legal version of lucky patcher which used to be on the play store, not sure where it went but when I search for it in google like this it looks like the apk file is easy to get (for example this one looks good).
Basically if someone says lucky patcher give them the benefit of the doubt that they mean the legal one.

That's not Lucky Patcher. The app you've linked to is called Lucky App Manager. Lucky Patcher, is something different entirely.

The link in the OP was Lucky Patcher.

he probably meant the other one and by mistake put that link;):D. I know I know
No, he specifically named Lucky Patcher in the post.

I don't see anything connecting Lucky Appmanager to Lucky Patcher other than the icon and naming convention, but if they were from the same Dev, that would likely explain its absence on the play store.

I was joking about him meaning that app
it used to be in the play store (like a few months ago it was)
