Help SD card not freeing up space

I don't know why but no matter what I delete from my sd card the free space shown never changes, it's like it's stuck at 1.79 GB. Any ideas?

What are you deleting and where are you checking size? Screenshots would be helpful.

internal or external? if external you need to format the card. partition table info is borked. not sure on the internal. that would be a more complex issue pointing to memory failure.

External & it doesn't matter if I delete files from Windows with the phone connected or using an external reader or if it's from the phone itself.

Is your microSD card formatted as the typical default fat32? Maybe using your external adapter, mount it in your Windows PC, and copy everything off of it as a backup. Then either try to repair the card using Properties >> Tools >> Error Checking (or whatever is there depending on which version of Windows you have), or just reformat it.

Will help out once you back up the data... almost every corrupted flash drive I've had in the past was fixed by this program.

Well, I guess it's a good thing I only use it for rom backups & I already have those backed up. Thanks for the help, I'll format it tomorrow & see if that fixes it.
