There is this annoying beaping during calls constantly! The minute reminder is turned off. Att didnt even know what it was. And its happening on my galaxy s3. It hurts my ears when it beeps.can someone please help me turn it off??? And im not hitting the dial pad.idk what it is ive looked everywhere in my settings. Im so tired of it.its got to be in my setting somewhere since its happening on both my phones. Im very tired of it someone please help!!!

Check the phone settings (Not Settings, Phone > Menu > Settings). Also, are you recievung texts during calls? Those beep too with the right settings enabled.
Not recieving text or call waiting. No keys being pressed or anything. It just beeps. I'm so tired of it. hurts my ears. The rugby pro has been a awesome phone.good work phone. This is the only issue. Called att and they had me talk to Samsung.samsung said its a att issue. I don't believe that. I don't know what to do. And im using ics.I don't see a need to download ota jellybean.thanks for your reply.I just wish I knew how to get rid of this beep!

The rugby pro produces an annoying and very loud beeping when low. My wife let's hers die almost every night and the low battery notice drives me insane.
Well.... my battery is 90 percent full and it still beaped. So thats not it either. Its a beap like hitting the dial pad but the other caller dont hear it. And in my settings I have all tones turned off. Its like a minute reminder but all of that is off I just dont get it. Thanks for trying to help tho

Viisign, do you use RFID tags at your work? (Or NFC devices? What about a chipped credit card?)
What does that have to do with anything? I don't even know what that is.except nfc devices.

There's a thread here that says that NFC/RFID chips were causing beeping on their S3s.
I thank everyone for trying to help. But this beeping is still going on..... how do I get it to stop?! I just dont get it. Both my phones do it. I dont even wanna talk on the phone because of this issue. Att has a service ticket for this issue ans was supposed to be solved oct 30th.... but still hasnt been.. HELP!!!

At&t has offered me to do early upgrades on both my phones. Im sure if I get new phones the problem will still exist... might get the galaxy s4 active within the month and the galaxy s5 active next year to replace my galaxy s3.since I hardly use my galaxy s3 I can wait to replace that line.just not the rugby pro.cause I use it everyday at work.thanks for all the advice but nothing has helped

Slide down the Home Screen and go to Settings (the spoke'd wheel). Scroll down to Applications, then Call, then Call Alerts. Uncheck the "Minute Minder"... you're done.

No it is really not that. I and 25 of my coworkers have the same phone (sam rugby pro) and we have Telus in Quebec for service provider. It's doing it even on speaker and sometime many times a minutes. It's not just a beep. It's a tone like number 5 but then it's number 6. I thought for a long time i was recorded by some crazy gov. ppl. but then i looked upon google and i see lotsa ppl with the tone beeping issue. really drives crazy when many/minutes. I will contact telus. I heard cellphone lines in quebec were 1940's technologically advanced. i will go back to walkie talkie. 10-4 ROGER . Thorlock Out.
Have you found out what was causing the beeping, I'm asking because a week ago my Galaxy S5 started doing the same thing when I was on the phone talking there is this annoying double beep that go on the entire duration of the phone call.

The beeping you hear and that was annoying me also was under Settings, Applications, Call, Call Alerts, and UNCHECK Minute Minder

Yeah I took it into Sprint and they showed me, thing is I never turned that on but since it started right after the 4.4.4 update the Sprint Tech said it was turned on by the update.
He was right because after the 5.0 update it turned on again but this time I knew what the deal was.

It was also (after two years all of the sudden!) the minute minder; I have unlimited minutes so ? Duno how that al happened I had to do a search to even find it. Turned it off and no more Peep Beep. OMG how annoying and it was draining my battery like a M'er F'er

Just love those updates on my phone and computer that alters them to an unusable state or destroys them completely. Gotta love free enterprize! Actually I don't but do like Socialism, most people in the Sates think that is a terrible idea; but they are thinking of it as if the CURRENT people in Congress are going to do all the deciding; in a socialist atmosphere - it's the people always; I would however hold up the 4th amendment. All the rest is cocky poo and this is all off topic. Moderator if there is one feel free to delete I will take my crap to facebook.
