Help Anyone having GPS issues?

Hey all, anyone else been having GPS locaion issues with the Hydro Vibe on VM lately? I've got 3 of these phones in my family and all of us are having this issue... used the GPS Toolbox and couple other apps, nothing is helping. GPS just randomly drops on all of them for no reason. Very irritating.

None are Rooted, would LIKE TO Root and change roms but can't find any up-to-date info on if it's even possible. If it is, please let me know.

All have the same following info:
Model: C6725
Android 4.4.2
SW 2.033SP
HW 0107
Baseband 2.033SP
Build KVT49L

Thanks all!

I do. The GPS is not very accurate, or don't work, even when I have it set to "High Accuracy"

This probably has to do with the "Google Play Services" issues, if I have to guess.

'Google Play Services' is simply an app that uses your Google account login to interact with the Google Play web site.
GPS, or Global Positioning System, is a global navigation system based on a network of satellites circling the planet. The two are not interrelated.

Getting back to the OP's query, I've always found GPS to be pretty reliable whenever I'm outside, but not so much inside some buildings. As GPS is dependent on line-of-sight with the actual GPS satellites that just follows the logic. When your phones have been dropping GPS is it typically when your at home or work, or out in the open?
Also, you mentioned using GPS Toolbox but not necessarily what you did with it. There's 'Compass calibration' 'Calibrate pitch and roll' 'Manage A-GPS state' options in the menu, along with 'Diagnose sensors'. I'd suggest doing the first three and if that doesn't make any difference run 'Diagnose sensors'. That probably won't tell you much to work with as you have three similar phones experiencing the same problem.

@svim, actually NO, Google Play Services did in fact create a problem with my phone's GPS as well. They are interrelated from MY experience.

Lead me to uninstall it back to the factory version, and reset the GPS to 'High Accuracy" then reinstall it. If I didn't and set GPS to "High Accuracy" then "Google Play services" would crash!

Before you want to argue any further, I just want to say this HAS INDEED BEEN MY EXPERIENCE with it. So, I am right!

And I am not hallucinating or got it confused. If you don't believe me, I could even show you a video.

Troll me all you want, both Google Play Services and GPS are well established and documented as is. Simply because the initials are similar doesn't mean much at all.

Who is trolling? Are you that stubborn when I tell you a honest personal experience you don't believe me? @svim

*SIGH* Actually I don't need to bother upload a video. There are many already talking about it online. Here are just 2 of them. You can search for them yourself from now on out.

1) Google Play Services crash with High Accuracy Location Mode

https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/browse/BACON-3810

2) "When I turn my location on to High Accuracy to use the GPS, I constantly get the "Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped."

https://www.reddit.com/r/oneplus/comments/39j1ab/constant_google_play_services_crash_on_my_opo/

There are surely more discussion about this, but for the sake of my time, I will just stop at two. You just type 'GPS High Accuracy Google Play Services Crash' into Google you will get plenty of results!

The video would show you the same thing. When I turn my location to Device only, then back to 'High Accuracy', Google Play Service would crash!
