yes -

add $10 if you want 4G on EVO.

add another $30 if you want the 3G+4G hotspot capability.

so it could be another $40/month.

Blah, your $99 Unlimited everything is for your minutes..meaning your not on the 450 anytime minutes The $69/$99 dollar unlimited plan has nothing to do with data. They will add $10 per mo for the Hotspot option on EVO.

Were are hooked up...

i'll pass on the hotspot at $30/month since i just won't use it. but i will spring for the 4G on the EVO at $10/month. the simultaneous voice and data and the 4G speeds will pay for themselves!!!

Thanks Blue.. and everybody else who answered my question... Since I stay in a 4g area (Houston)

So with this add on of 10 plus the insurance my bill has just jumped from 119 to 129.. :(

I guess I can work with that...

I hope I'm wrong, but the wording of the press release seems to indicate that the $10 is not optional. The release says, "A $10 per month Premium Data add-on will apply allowing customers to take advantage of a richer data experience than ever before." However, when it mentions the hotspot function, it says "an optional pricing add-on will turn HTC EVO 4G into a mobile hotspot connecting up to eight Wi-Fi enabled devices." This blows, especially since I won't be in a 4g city. =(

Totally agree. $10 is NOT optional.

i'll give you way more *** but this is NOT cheaper than my att even without the hotspot

Uh, what phone are you using?

At the moment, I'm using the iphone 3G with unlimited text. That's $40 for voice, $30 for data, and $20 for text = $90. Even with the $10 4G add-on, sprint's plan is cheaper by $10.

Everybody do not have money to burn unlike your picture ;)

I did not get that they were charging $10 bucks to use 4G. If so then I have been getting 4G for free on my Overdrive puck forever. I get fapped if I go over 5gb per mo on 3G, but if I download on 4G I never got dinged. I pay $40 per mo on my over drive. It's if you want a Hotspot option on your EVO you pay extra $10 bucks. The $69/$99 plan stays the way it is w/4G.

I know you are drinking and on vacation so I will give you the benefit of the doubt :D ...still, if you read the press release, it clearly states that for the Evo, 4G is a $10 addon and hotspot is a separate $30 addon.

My bill went up with the new plan I had to buy for my Pre and is going to go up again for the Evo. Yes it is still cheaper than the competition and I will probably swallow my pride and get it anyway.

I am just disappointed that they are charging for something that makes data delivery cheaper for them and that the CEO flat-out said would not cost any more than 3G data plans do now. It's a bad business move and yet another $10 added to my monthly expenses.
