Droid Eris Users Can Opt In For OTA Upgrade

HA! If you would say more attention to my post, I never said "it is a hoax." I only wanted to point out that everything was a bit fishy, and warned not to get too excited until we hear it from the horse's mouth.

In this case, I an pointing out that BerryScoop is misleading in their headline.

I could go off on you and suggest that you have literacy issues, but no, I think you just read too fast and skip lines.

And yes, I now know it's official (albeit not without contraversy, i.e. pdf edits, so on and so forth) so I retract my previous word of caution as to not scare your precious little kittens. But you seem to be the only one bent on the issue, so I'll let it be.

If you want to fight, take it to 4chan.

I was going to tell you that you are too sensitive MortallyWounded, but apparently the mods had to get rid of some stuff. Honestly, I thought that they were commenting on the title of the article that you were referring to. If any other meaning was arrived at, then that just doesn't make sense to me.

Anyway, I was really posting to say that people cannot opt out either. It is a mandatory update that every Eris user will have to install. The phone will prompt you for a few hours, then it's just gonna tell you that time is up.

Have you been in contact with somebody who attempted to repeatedly reject the OTA?

I plan on giving that a try when I see the prompt on mine.

I rejected the OTA when it went from 1.5 to ... yikes I forgot. But remember back then? So anyway, I rejected, rejected and after about 3 days finally gave up. They were relentless. Not sure if it will be the same here but the system update notification is unyielding.

Yes, that was it! Yeah, I remember there was an issue some were reporting that I just didn't want to deal with, my memory is not what it used to be. It was like my wife asking me when I was going to rake the leaves. It was easier to do it than to listen to the nagging. Take advil for the shoulder pain, fix the MR2 bug = same thing.

I haven't. I'll be interested to see what it does for you or if you just go ahead and "rake the leaves."
