Ah no I actually think you generally made a lot of improvements. I mean take the word 'colour'. What the hell is the point of that 'u'?

I suppose that makes more sense, but it always bugged me that my kid's 'LeapPad' didn't have a UK English configuration, and they sang that rhyme with the 'Zee' on the end. I know, we're weird.

No, we're not quite that weird

I did set my satnav's voice to the American lady, partly because she sounds very sexy, but also it's entertaining hearing some place names attempted with that accent

It tells you that the word isn't pronounced "col or".

But if you want to start a real culture war, ask whether "mathematics" should be shortened to "maths" or "math". Each sounds utterly wrong to someone brought up with the other.

True, but on the subject of spellings, colour was possibly a bad example, but there are others, like analogue vs analog. I mean phonetically, the latter would seem more correct, as the 'ue' on the end of the word aren't sounded.
