FRP is Factory Rest Protection. Supposed to make your phone hard to reset without a password

It doesn't change anything unique to your device. Your SN, IMEI and other data is still the same. Using the bogus SN just fools Kies.

It is a good idea to allow OEM unlocking in Developer Options, especially if you ever try to root the device.
Usually if you can get into download mode, you can fix a Samsung if the motherboard isn't trashed.

Have you checked your data connection? Can't remember if you need to change APN settings since you have 530T firmware.

Yes indeed. Since there was never an official release of the firmware, everything presented today was a work-around. Some prefer to call it a "Hack"

Data connection would be connecting with 4g with a Sim. Should be OK from what I remember in the rest of the thread in the XDA link

I feel compelled to re-phrase my post. The word "Hack" can have mutiple meanings. I think of it as the repossession of that which is already ours. Some may think of it as the repossession of that which we think should be ours. The former is hacking the latter is piracy which I in no way endorse. Just wanted to clear that up.

Not quite, but bricked is just as bad. You can mess up the partitioning of the internal memory that you can not get into any of the diagnostic or maintenance modes so no tool will allow you to recover. While the motherboard itself is intact, it's still a brick at which point you can either use it for parts or tie a string to it with a paper cup on the other end.

Just an aside as I'm not familiar with this model, if you can actually pull the battery, is not the serial number on the phone under the battery? It used to be in my old Samsungs.
