Would you use any app instead Google keyboard? - Google Keyboard

I've tried Fleksy and Swiftkey. Fleksy was beautiful but it was not for me. Too many awkward gestures if I remember well. I used Swiftkey as my main keyboard for a while because of the ability to have 3 languages simultaneously and the amazing predictions. I switched back to GK because of aesthetics and feel. Also, swiping is much better but predictions are not as good. I've been teaching it french and Spanish by adding to my personal dictionary for maybe a year now so I think I'll stick with it from now on. I wish Google could get their hands on that Swiftkey prediction engine though :p

I generally use SwiftKey, occasionally the built-in keyboard. I've used many others in the past, but haven't felt the need lately. I've never felt the need to install the Google keyboard.

It's either SwiftKey or Google Keyboard for me.
Swiftkeyes text prediction is second to none and Google Keyboard is a solid second as well.
I love the new option to use different colors or an image with Google keyboard.

Have you tried any other app like Fleksy, SwiftKey, and what do you think about them?
Love SwiftKey! Mind blowing accuracy of predictions And no annoying autocorrect or ads... And it's free! 1 of my favorite Things about this keyboard The accuracy of the swipe feature... I am still stunned at how that works lol

Voice to text on Google Keyboard has replaced at least 60% of all my typing. If you haven't used it in awhile, give it a shot. The accuracy is amazing, even when you're in noisy environments. I know that kind of defeats the purpose of the "keyboard" question since voice to text lacks a GUI, but it just works so well.

i found google voice too text is not two good at capitalizing proper nouns comma and recognizing punctuation full stop for my uses comma its not satisfactory at all exclamation mark

Swiftkey is the best third-party keyboard out there and I could see why other people like it so much but, for me, Samsung Keyboard is perfect... AOSP keyboards are nice, too, but pretty much the same as GK (which I also like)... I'm just a firm believer in the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" philosophy...

This seems vaguely familiar... SwiftKey

With my note device, it's either Samsung or Google (with the Google handwriting keyboard as well). I think Google takes it because it has separate keyboards for separate languages. The Samsung stock keyboard does multiple languages without swapping keyboard and it quite often predicts words from a language you are not trying to use of you have more than one language set up.

I have been using Swiftkey keyboard for many years & very much satisfied with it.
I have installed Gboard 2 days ago for a change & find it as good as Swift key & if any thing, better in certain things.
  • This has a large number of very nice themes to choose from.
  • Prediction is very good after a bit of a training. It quickly learns our writing patterns. After 2 days, I find I hardly need to type a word in full.
  • Selecting the text & editing is easier.
  • Voice typing is 100% accurate particularly in Telugu, our native language. It's time consuming to type in Telugu but the excellent voice typing makes it very easy & convenient.
  • Yet another way of typing is by handwriting. This method also is quite accurate in at least 70% although I did not find the need for it.
  • Can delete typed words or sentences by swiping towards the left on back space key. Comes in handy if you are not satisfied with what you have typed just now.
  • One can get important symbols by tapping on the shift key if the number row is set to be displayed permanently. The number row is replaced by the symbols when the shift key is touched. One can also get these by long pressing on the stop key.
