What is it? It's electrical and a part of something. Very popular in the '60s and '70s.
There's a ball, there's a plum-bob in there and a leaf-switch with a weight on it, so it's something intended to detect movement. It's not edible and it doesn't fly.

The "TILT !!!!!" detector from a pinball machine.
Yup, that's what it is.
Thought of it, because I've always been quite interested in pinball machines, yet I know a lot of people who have never actually seen one, not for real. I do have Pinball Arcade on my phone.

Have never seen one before either, but made sense. I was, however previously aware of just how rude-and-crude some "electronic" devices of the pre-1970 era could be inside.....Charming in their "hand made-mass production" sensibilities!

But you are correct, it is a close up of (arguably) the most significant part of the da Vinci creation, and most significant part of her body; That little corner of her smile that says so much.
