Received both of my Type D micro HDMI cables. Yes TWO cables. Each one is $8.40 so don't buy them at Best Buy for 70 bucks. $27 including shipping from Arrow Electronics - North American Components (NAC)

Here's the part details: Molex Connector Part Number - 0687860003

Here's the cable:

Hey.. can't find the page to purchase... help please.

First time poster here...been following for quite a while now...

If you go through your home insurance be very careful. I had renters insurance and added insurance for my laptop - ~$60/year. It was great, my cat spilled water on my laptop and i submitted a claim, boom $1300 check in mail within the week. Before I submitted my claim, I asked my rep 2 or 3 times, this will not affect my insurance on my car or apartment. He said it shouldnt seeing that is was my first claim and such a small one at that. So, year later, bought a house, and guess what, my house insurance did not qualify for discount as i submitted a claim for the laptop.

Moral of story, be careful when dealing with insurance companies.

I have been warned many, many, many times by my agent not to use home owners unless you do not use it. If you have to use it, it will effect your rating.

What insurance company? (just curious, don't mean to be nosey)
It does not matter what insurance company. The claim is filed with in the clearance house, not the provider. So if you change your insurance, it will not go away. Sorry but that is the current system.

If you claim on insurer x, insurer y will know and adjust your insurance.

If fact it is very common for insurer x to not adjust your rate, but insurer y to.

It is a rating system and is just made up of random numbers.

So I preordered my evo last night and I have to say I'm pretty dissapointed in Sprints marketing. I was third on the list and I got to BB around 6 pm. The one thing I couldn't believe was there was not a single promotional item for the evo in BB. Not a single poster, sign, cardboard standup, display model (real or dummy), nothing. Sprint sends a few tweets and one lousy email out and bb sends a second email. Thats it?!?! I'm no marketing expert but I would have done a little more. Maybe sprint has something up there sleeve or maybe since Jackson said the marketing was going to be out of control I was expecting more.

Also, have we found out what comes in the box with the evo? Any ideas what accessories will be available at release? I've never pick up a phone on release day so I have no idea what to expect.

alot of best buys didnt even know about the evo until yesterday so its not supprising

Yeah I learned that the hard way last time I bought car insurance. I had my very first at fault accident ever and had to claim the damages to my vehicle that ran well over $2000. Went to renew and my insurer at the time wanted to jack me up from $100 to $500 a month and I had to shop around kept getting the same crap from every insurer til I found one that finally didn't mind the accident as much as the others. It was a pain.

I see, well as someone that has never had to rely on insurance ( have had countless phones replaced under mfg warranty) I figured it would be a cheaper safety net in case something does happen. Might not be the best idea after all.

hey sorry guys been busy. Mkampy thanks for helping SHO_ONE! This cable is really high quality. I'm kind of shocked how really tiny Micro HDMI is. I don't even see the point of making Type A HDMI if they can shrink it down to this size and get the same audio/video quality LOL. Monoprice doesn't have these yet and did someone really say they saw it at best buy for $70??!

Just preordered today at Radio Shack. Mostly painless experience though the cashier had absolutely no clue the company was accepting orders starting today. 15 minutes later I've got my Shack gift card and a mile-long receipt!

Out of curiosity how much did you have to put down?

Trying doing the price comparisons when the other networks finally get 4g services..

I am going to assume you mean lte and not lte-a.

They will charge nothing for lte. Nothing per month. Why?

Because they are going to just open up 3g to make it a little faster. Up to 4.5mbps. This is what Tmobile is doing with hspa+. They will suffer from bandwidth issues and have to practical max use to 1.2mpbs.

In the near future, 2012, they will start to use release 9 which will start to crank it up to 2.3 mbps. After that they will need to shut down voice services. Once the remove voice services, 2015-17?, they wil open up to release 10 which will offer speeds up to 5mbps. Some time after that, 2018-2020, they will over 4-8mbps. When voice is removed you will only be charged for data.

I need to add a few things, the road map for lte is really a mess. It was suppost to be at release 8, 1.5 years ago. But that has been pushed off to the future. The current status of lte in europe is hopeless. 800mhz for uk, 1.3ghz for france, 2.5ghz for germany.

The same goes for wimax. Wimax will not run at 4-8mbps everywhere.

When I first got wimax, the connection was 40kbps, in 2007. After that it has slowly creeped up. Just yesterday, I was getting 33mbps. This will be the same for most build outs.

When any place goes live, accept the speeds are going to be down in the 1.2mbps and over the next few month and years later it will increase.

But to answer your question, they are just going to rebrand 3g, to 3.5g. They may charge a price for that, but I doubt it.

When lte-a is here, they will be only charging for data. That is the trick with lte, it requires all voice bandwidth to be converted to data signals.

You wonder why wimax is soo important! It will have to backhaul lte.

So are you saying in a few years we'll be saying bye bye to CDMA and GSM in favor of WiMAX and LTE?

I also pre-ordered from RS, very easy and I was the first one. I put an even $50 as a deposit and was told to return on June 4. I asked if it was possible if the phone came in early if I would get it early. She said "yes".

Oh what to do, what to do. The area where I work has really bad AT&T and T-Mobile signal and a strong Verizon signal. I have no idea what kind of signal I

Has anyone brought up the $20 gift card @ RadioShack to the BB employees? I asked them if they would price match that & he said they don't normally price match gift cards. It kinda sounded like they would have tried it if I pushed, but I figured it didn't matter until I came back to purchase the phone.

I posted a few pages back about my solution to try and ease the pain of the additional $10/month for the Evo by requesting the same 10% discount on my contract that Sprint offered me a couple years ago.

Rather than just asking for that discount, I went for the credit union discount instead. For anyone who doesn't know, Sprint offers a 10% discount for being a member of a credit union (pretty sure ANY credit union). I just went to the Sprint store, they glanced at my membership card for 5 seconds and added the discount to my account (should apply in 1-2 billing cycles). In and out in five minutes. I tried to do it over the phone first but the lady tried to spell Michigan with an 's' ... not sure I could trust her.

Anyway, go join a credit union if you're not already a member of one and get your 8 bucks (if you're on the $70 plan) knocked off! :D
