So i went to pre-order at BB when i got out of work and it was 54.13 i believe and the rep said it was all going towards the phone but when i got home i called the # on the back and it said there was only $50 on the gift card. I even asked the LP thats awlays at the front of the store watrching the cameras to see if there is tax on gift cards and he said no and that that was weird that it did get charged. Should i got back n get the 4.13 back or trust the BB rep that said it was going towards the phone.

you paid a percentage of tax on $50. On June 4th, you'll pay a percentage of tax on the price of the phone - $50. You paid some tax today, the rest later. It's the same.

  • Car dock? Yes
  • Car home? Yes
  • Other accessories? Yes… including custom cover that supports kickstand
  • Extended battery interfere with kickstand? Not at all… you should definitely be able to equip this with an extended battery

I wasn't charged tax on my pre-order. Cooper may very well be right but I'm just mentioning what my experience was.

PS: I am not trying to start another rumor:p
OMG, if there i NOT a car dock in the package I'm going to call sprint and ask for $10/ month off my bill b/c it was supposed to be there, they said it and you pointed it out they said it so it better be there... OMFG [/sarcasm]:D

Same experience, they said it would come off the price of the phone and it was charged because the system sees a presale as a sale. No reason not to believe him. Just keep your receipt if you have any trouble.

Hey this is pretty cool! Thank you to all of those who mentioned the EVP at Employee Value Program - Home -. I've never ordered through this but apparently my company has a 23% discount. So I placed my preorder and selected the $12 overnight shipping. I got an email confirming my order but didn't see any place to put a payment down. Can someone please tell me how this Evp works? Their offices are currently closed already. Thanks

EVP is very good, especially because of the monthly bill discount. I already had my company discount being applied (even before I found out about EVP...same service, essentially).

As for how EVP works with regards to phone orders, it's similar to Sprint. They get notified when the phone is ready to be shipped and it's shipped directly from the Sprint wherehouse. This is the information I was told by a couple EVP reps. As for "payment down," they're probably just going to bill your account, but you can always email the rep that handled your pre-order to find out where/when you're going to be charged.

Hope that helps.

I too am brand new to Sprint and EVP, so I'm not sure of the process, but I'm happy to share my experience so far. I submitted my pre-order last night and wondered the same as you about payment. I received a phone call this morning from a nice rep named Lisa. After a few more calls and a couple of emails we nailed down the details. I had the option of paying with my credit card or having it applied to my new account. After making my choice, she took my credit card info and said she will email me when it ships. I'm hoping for an email in late May!!!:D

Seriously though, I'll be happy if it shows up on or before 6/4.

There's the box.

There's absolutely NO way I can believe this is true. If so, that's a definite FAIL for all the companies that worked on the phone.

Maybe that's what's left of the 1GB after the OS is installed????? Just throwing that out, as I have no Android knowledge or experience.

Sometimes, EVP can get the phone to you earlier. I don't know if that'll be the case for the EVO, but there have been times that EVP was able to get people their phones a few days prior to the actual release (since the phones ship directly from the Sprint wherehouse to your house/work/wherever you chose to have it shipped).

Just for frame of reference, the BB Mobile manager told me that they usually receive their inventory 2-3 days prior to a release date. I'm assuming that their inventory ships from Sprint Wherehouse as well, so it's quite possible that your phone will get to you around the 2nd or so. You'll just have to wait and see.

The main things I don't like about EVP: 1) They still charge tax (I'm in CA), 2) They charge shipping, and 3) Mail-in-rebate.

But the 1GB ROM has nothing to do with the internal storage. Look at the Droid Incredible stats and you'll understand what I'm referring to.

I get it now. I guess it's possible someone at phonescoop left out a decimal point or looked at the wrong number when keying in the specs.

Since I was opening a new business account, they used "flat rate pricing" (no rebate, just the $174.99 amount) and gave me free overnight shipping. I still had to pay sales tax, however. As they say, two out of three ain't bad. :)

It seems like I had read somewhere that they might ship a few days early. I've got my fingers crossed.

You know, it can only be sprint. They are taking a pre-order on something that we do not fully know the stats for. That is just sad.

If it has a-gps, I will be upset.

Why do we even trust sprint. The full stats should be on there website, but nope. That can not happen. Sigh. Just sad.

Typo wouldn't even be logical because it says MB...I'm expecting GB. If there's that little amount of internal storage, I'll be hesitant to move forward with my pre-order purchase by the 4th. That's more of a deal breaker for me than the $10 per month.
