re: rooting a ZTE tablet

I don't see this model of ZTE tablet on the list. I have a ZTE Android tablet model K90U, Android version 6.0.1. I tried Kingoroot and it failed. I next tried iRoot and the tablet keep blocking iRoot. Saying the prog maybe infected or corrupted. So what do I use to root this tablet?

UPDATE:
After days and days of searching the internet I finely found the right key file for the ZTE K90U tablet at www.opensource.ztedevice.com/ But I have 1 other small problem. Do to a clumsy mistake that I made while I was recombining 2 partitions back into 1 on a SD card for a tablet that I sold. I didn't pay attention to which drive letter I was on and accidently deleted the partition on my D storage HD in the USB case were I store install prog's, info files like how to use prog's like fastboot and CWM. I am having to rebuild those instruction files. I think I found the right one for fastboot at http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2277112 . But I am not 100% sure. I also not sure whether I should use fastboot or CWM to root the ZTE tablet.

What about the file "P895U90_K90U_marshmallow_kernel(3.10.X).tar.gz" that I found? I seem to remember that I am to rename it to recovery.img then flash it. That's why I had the instructions saved so I can reference it again when I need it, like now.

Use fastboot to install cwm then use cwm to flash the SuperSu.zip

I don't know anything about that file, change and/or flash at your own risk

I am having a bit of trouble with the "adb reboot bootloader" cmd. See the screen capture picture bellow. When I hit enter the ZTE tablet reboots. But it reboots into normal mode then the "allow USB debugging" screen bellow pops up. I press "ok" and that's it. Nothing else happens after that. Am I doing something wrong?

Well I finely figured out the syntax of the cmd structure for this tablet. I now have the tablet talking to my laptop in the bootloader mode. If I tryed to download the wrong img file and flash it to the tablet. The tablet just sat there and did nothing. Now the tablet will flash on it's screen after reading the img. That the img has the wrong keys and so on and reject the img . The correct sequence for this tablet is, in recovery mode choose "apply update from ADB". Then in Windows terminal type "adb sideload <and the file name>". It has to be SIDELOAD not DOWNLOAD, that's the key to the cmd sequence in this tablet. And "adb reboot bootloader" does nothing. The reboot bootloader has to be done by power button + volume down button. At lease now I made some progress on this tablet after 4 days work. A good in It is a good inside project on these cold snowing days. Now I just need to find the right recovery-CWM image file for this tablet.

If you are in stock recovery, it will not allow you to flash anything that doesn't have ZTE signing keys. Period. That's where flashing a recovery via Fastboot came in, to bypass needing Root. ..FYI. Now, KR just released v5.0.1 , maybe try it out

Yes it is in stock recovery. What is Root. ..FYI? I am assuming KR is a user name. Were do I find this v5.0.1 file?

KR is the nickname for KingRoot.apk

Root is "Administrative Access" to the System and files, which the Carriers don't want because you can do more things than they want you access to.

I new what root means, it was FYI I didn't know. I don't know all the internet chat word shortcuts. Is KingRoot the same as KingoRoot? The KingoRoot app stops at 90% done then gives me root failed error code 0x13a254 and I can't find out what the error code means. If I new, I mite be able to fix it.
