2.1 OTA Beginning 5/11/2010

The same thing happens with this update. Get a couple charges in it, and it will get better. Id say give it at least until tomorrow. I think you should notice some improvements by then.

I got the phone brand new about a month ago. The battery life was fine after the first full charge. I got rid of the battery widget and double checked settings. We will see on how long the battery will stay decent charged
 
Got mine around 12:45am this morning, here in Greenville, NC.

And for what it's worth, I didn't lose any data aside from my home screens. Messages still there, apps still there, contacts synced back up, etc.
 
I was happier than a little boy on christmas. I recieved the OTA sometime between 3 am and 8 am this morning. i put my charger next to my bed in hopes it would come n it did. lol.

It great but I still have sending issue with friend I text that have 1,000 plus message stored under their name. This is stock texting app. Also get force close when try to delete messages. Nothing was erased after update.

Finally after months of waiting. I got my update but my wifes phone did not things that make you go HHHMMMMM
 
North of Boston - woke up to the OTA notification this morning. Came in around midnight, I think. Backing up everything from the SD card now, then full speed ahead! :)
 
Minneapolis, MN. Got the update sometime during the night. Was on 1.5

Everything seems to be working fine but did have some goofiness with the calendar app. It pulled down about 100 Exchange meeting invites from yesteryear going back into the early 2000's.

This also happened when I first purchased the Eris but I was so new to smartphones that I figured I didn't know what I was doing. I suspect the problem is with my Exchange account rather than the Eris.
 
When I got my Eris and i knew more about it then the VZW rep did. I got it in mid March and i was told it has 2.1 on it knowing he was completely wrong, but didnt argue because there was no point.

With that said, even though they are saying people with any leaks will get the OTA, im pretty sure that is never going to happen.

ALso, Got a buddy coming in from Athens, GA today and hes on stock 1.5, ill see if he got/gets it today. I'm in Birmingham, AL and still haven't heard of anyone getting the updates.
 
New member. I'm in Nashville, TN, got OTA last nite at 11:15. Bought my eris in Feb and was on 1.5. Only issue is that some Google contacts merged together for dome reason and I had to delete and recreate them, ot wouldnt let me separate them.

i had the same problem but found out that two of my facebook contacts had the same mobile number and it is merging the contacts together because of it
