Thanks for the heads up. - ES File Explorer

Yes, it was about ES file explorer showing pop-up ads after the app is closed. It was my first post. Don't know where the guys post went.

ES is now showing ads after you close the damn thing? I'm glad that I was one of the folks whom left in mass for other file explorers when they were taking over your lock screen to show ads. That pissed off folks to no end!!!

I have been trying to get away from ES file explorer due to all the crap it comes with and I tried solid explorer, its great although only a 14 day trial but after an hour I bought it.

I liked ES.. but there's a few questionable things they've done in the past, and if you can't trust it, you shouldn't use it.

I tired out Solid Explorer Solid Explorer and after a couple of hours made the same choice as you :D

The two that are excellent and that don't "share" your data with others while you arenb;t lookiugn are ...

Solid Explorer File Manager – manipulate device folders and files
X-plore File Manager – manipulate device and cloud folders and files

I personally find the user interface of X-plore to be a little challenging and really like the two pane display available in Solid.

I also gave up ES a while back. The issue was that was dangerous for accessing cloud storage. They were sharing user names and passwords of cloud storage. Bad but not as bad as Cheetah Mobile.

I find X-plore's interface really efficient for some tasks, but it's unconventional enough that I can understand why people might prefer others. Solid Explorer is also a very good app, and I've actually got both.
