Any Incredible owners jealous of the Evo 4G?

Word is that the Galaxy S will come to call carriers including CDMA. Guess what the network in Samsung's home market is...

Cool. I didn't know that. It's something to look forward to. I'm only on a one year contract, so maybe that will be my next phone.

I really dont want a phone that large. the front camera is nice, but there wont be any useful skype video on it since its on sprint.

I got my inc on a one year contract, so maybe In a year there will be a similar phone on Verizon that has LTE and skype video.

One year contract is the way to go.

The front facing camera would be nice, but the Incredible is something I would never give up. I know that you have heard this before, but I was rocking 3G on the road while my friend's Sprint Hero was...useless.

To be honest, I just can't wait for a year from now when I'm getting an even better phone. Is that possible? Dual-core here I come! :p

The problem with having the EVO means having Sprint. It's a crappy network in my area. Weak to no coverage in the area I travel daily, much less 4G. I'll just have to settle with being happy with a good 3G signal everywhere I go on Verizon.

For the hardware... hmmmm I might be tempted. But Sprint needs to get a better network first. I did not get much of a choice about Verizon. They bought the best carrier we have here. AT&T - no service here, T-Mobile also has no service here, Sprint - no service and no roaming agreements here....

We have Viaero, and US Cellular available.

I have to say that having the Incredible out here in the middle of nowhere is great. I would get nothing on the Evo. I wouldn't change phones right now for anything.

why advertise something when its completely out of stock for 3 weeks....i agree it should get some advertising but best wait until you can actually keep it in stock

it will do more harm to advertise something and have people rush to stores to be told sorry, you cant get it until next month

Ya, and that's another stupid move by Verizon to add to what I said earlier....just pure fail on the whole release of this great phone.....

they sold 100K in 2 days so honestly HTC is more to blame for not having enough. VZW doesnt control the manufacturing of the device. VZW and HTC are both losing money here.

I love the Incredible but half of you people aren't being honest with yourself. The Eco is a way better phone. Now I still wouldn't get it because of my horrible experience with Sprint but if it was out for Verizon I would hop on it. Front facing camera, 780p video(hope HTC updates the Dinc for that), HDMI out! The phone is perfect.

No thanks. The EVO does not fit in most pockets. It way too big to take along with you everywhere. People think that a bigger screen is better until they realize how much of a pain it is to take places.

Add even a silicon case to the Evo and you will need a small laptop bag to carry it around with you. lol. No thank you evo...

For the record i have used an HD2 for about a week and god it was such a pain to take everywhere.

I definitely am a tad jealous of Its massive screen.. the video calling and 4g......

I also wish the incredible could record in 720p like the evo....

Do u think its possible the incredible will get 720p in an update later?
?

I've played with the Evo 4G (don't ask me how please!). The
Evo 4G has a better build quality than the Incredible. It feels really good in the hands like the HTC HD2.

Secondly, the front facing camera is cool.

However, the 720p video recording isn't all that. It records in at 16-20 fps. Which to me = useless. It also records in .3gp format.

Evo is totally not worth switching to Sprint. I love the size of its screen, but I won't use the front facing camera, and I don't need to record high def video yet. Those luxuries can wait until Verizon has them, and after upgrade time.

Yes and no. Love the hardware specs but the big red is the best carrier in the bay area. I can never hear my friend on sprint. He's been with them since the original nextel merger and I still can't figure why he stays with them.

side by side comparison will show that the incredible has a much brighter and colorful screen and that the the EVO 4g will look huge and with less color when sitting next to an incredible.

3.7" AMOLED > 4.3" TFT

One of the reasons I chose the Incredible is that it's on the tail end of 3g technology. 4g is coming up but not as soon as many people think. I'm quite content letting my friends adopt 4g and their hotspots, all the while I will piggy-back their hotspots with my WiFi wherever we go. My 1st 4g phone will be 2nd or 3rd generation 2 years from now.

You are comparing Lady Gaga and Ke$ha here. EVO = Lady Gaga, and DInc = Ke$ha.

I have seen how on the Incredible I can choose 3gp or mp2 format when making videos... whats the difference?

But Tmobile...big downer.

From what I understand, if Sprint's "WiMax" will have a max of 14Mb (I haven't fully looked into it...just basing on footnote on Sprint website), then T-Mo/AT&T's 3G/3.5G will be "faster" at 21Mb, once build-outs are complete. Also, Sprint at present, is the only carrier "in the world", opting for WiMax techology...may be an issue if you travel abroad, depending on backwards capability.

FWIW, I'd rather have $10/mo T-Mo 7Mb/21Mb data serivce (unlocked phone) than Sprint/Evo...YMMV.

I realize u can never have the best because better phones will always come out but do u think the incredible will receive 2.2 and all future versions of Android....?

Anyone with the incredible thinking of switching?

I used to be hot for the HTC HD2, back when it was still being called the leo. Yesterday i held a mockup in my hands in a store for the first time - and boy, did I dodge a bullet. the screen is so big i can't reach parts of it with my thumb while holding it one-handed.
