This is so nice.
I am liking ADW. One question my Google search bar is not themed is that how it is or did I mess something.
Thanks

so i install the version 1.01 over version 1, and it worked fine. Only thing is all my apps are still on my phone, just they arent in my app tray. Any ideas how to solve this problem? also i find that i was getting less of a signal than before.

Strange. Maybe you just need to give ADW some time to pick up those apps, or a reboot/battery pull will fix it?

Fab, this is great as always. Installed it earlier and it seems to be working great. Also, the P3 Kernal with 1200mhz is running great now. Previously I was not able to go higher than 1100 on bekit.

One question though. Any chance you'd consider including Swype into a future release?

Not so sure about Swype. It's not free or open source. They've gotten angry at Droidmod before for including it. I'm sure you can find a version if you like it :)

Yeah, there's something strange about the way ADW has that widget working. When I tried themeing it, it stretched out and looked bad, so I just skipped it. Sorry :(

Yeah, you should be OK installing this over BB, though, if you have Facebook installed, you should uninstall that, since I have made it a system app (so I could theme it).

Make a nandroid first and let me know how it goes please :)

*Also, I've added all the new IV & SV kernels, as well as 1.3GHz kernels to the OP. I also fixed the 1GHz LV link (it was pointing to 800MHz previously).

To remove facebook I can just uninstall it from the market correct?

Also, before I install this should I go back to the stock 600 kernal or can I keep the 1000 kernal?

Yeah, just uninstall from the market.

Also, this will flash a 600MHz kernel by default, regardless of which one you're currently using. If you want to go back to 1GHz, try the Bekit kernels in the first post, or P3Droids. All the links are there under "Optional Kernels"

Thanks!!!!!! backing up everything right now and will make a nandroid here at work so when I get home I can install it right away!!!!!!!!

Thanks for an awesome rom FAB. Been running it for a few days with the 800 kernal. Super fast and rarely over 85 degrees. Only issue I've seen so far is with handcent. When I get a new text message and do a quick reply, it will revert back to a previous background image and freeze for a second. Not a big deal, just a little odd. I pull my phone off the charger everyday at 7am. Its now 3pm and I am at 50 percent. Thanks again for a great rom! Congrats on graduation as well.

what is that app called. i have the weather widget installed which is smaller. also what wallpaper is that in the background. thanks.

I'm loving this ROM, but oddly it seems to run just a little slower than the previous NexBeast with ADW installed. I was running Bekit's 1GHz LV kernel and the screen transitions on ADW seemed a little smoother.

Running it now, just installed over NexTheme 1.0.

Using P3 1.2GHZ LV this time.

Temps are pretty high right now (94F) but probably due to the fact that it was just loading everything. I hope it goes back down as it was a lot cooler with the 1.0 and BeKit.

Did you use my file in the OP to flash the 1GHz kernel this time, or did you use your existing file from last time? I've modified the kernels so they no longer flash the old 'pete' script. That way, it lets SetCPU have total control of the kernel.

If that's what you're doing, then just ignore me ;)

Also using setCPU

Do I need to have "set on boot" enabled?

Yes, that's probably a good idea. All the overclocking is now done manually, rather than via the 'pete' script.

No problem with that was just checking to see if it was across the board.
I appreciate what you do for the community.

Fab,

Did you notice that the file you wants us to remove is newer than the one's with P3Droid? I believe the one you want us to remove is wireless_tether_2_0-pre10 whereas the on on P3Droid's site is wireless_tether_2_0-pre7...

I was using Bekit's kernel initial but switched to P3Droid's 1.2Ghz kernel and found it ran cooler for me than Bekit's did.. I just don't want to break the wired/wireless tether functions if I use P3Droid's kernel rather than Bekit's..

Oh, there's no need to download those apps on P3Droid's site. They are already included with the ROM (and much newer versions!).

No features will be broken between Bekit and P3Droid's kernels. Just use whichever one you feel is quicker/cooler :)

I'm trying to download this on my droid (since I am politely blocked from downloads by my IT dept.) and I'm getting an error that says "The page at 'http://www.mediafire.com' sys: SyntaxError:Parse error". Ideas?

Second part of error: "There was a Javascript error in this process, try another browser or contacting support."

Fab,

Also want to thank you for continuing to enhance NexBeast. Your preferences seem to exactly match mine, which is gratifying...I love the NexTheme, also really like ADW Launcher. I use P3Droid's 600Mhz kernel, SetCPU, no profiles...and I can go nearly 24 hours on a charge with moderate usage.

Thank you!

On other thing Fab...since you are now educated and stuff, if you are heading back to Chicago (I thought you said you were there) I'd be happy to buy the guy who helped me through rooting issues lunch one day!

Which browser are you using? I just tried with the default Android browser, and while I got a pop up or two, I still ended up being able to download the file.

Hey, thanks for the offer! I'm actually not from Chicago. I've been living in Champaign for about 9 years now. All the while, I've only been to Chicago like 5 or 6 times :(

In fact, I am running hotter on 1.0.1 than I was on 1.0... strange. Usually around 91.4F.

Is that idle or under load? 33C seems pretty good for load, not so much for idle, though still "OK"

Ah I didn't do the wireless tether fix you stated prior to installing.

Is that a problem? Do I need to do that and then update again (1.0.1 over 1.0.1?)

fab, that is idle speed after about 5-10 minutes of no activity

Launch the wireless tethering app, and let me know, is there a battery temperature icon in the top left?

If so, then I don't think you need to worry about it.

As for you temps, I don't really know...it seems ok, but not great. Which kernel are you using? Maybe try P3Droid, or Bekit (whichever one you aren't using)

Using the default browser. Installed Opera Mini and no error but no download either. Phone just sits at 0MB downloaded. So I went back one nandroid backup and tried again. Seems to be downloading now. Weird.

I think I'm going to reupload the file with some larger battery percentage numbers, as I find the originals to be a little too small. For those of you that have already installed, I will probably make a fix file, but for now, if you know what you're doing, here's the framework.

Be sure to rename to framework-res.apk, and push to /system/framework/

All that I changed is the font from 12 point to 15 point. Makes a big difference in legibility though, IMO. Gotta run to the bank though, but I'll have at least an update.zip to fix this when I get back.

framework-res-bigpercent.apk

EDIT: UGH, as I just found out (remembered), you will need to resign into Google if you push the framework. BLAHHH.
