Nexus One Case Recommendation?

I prefer the default pouch that comes with the phone except I lost it twice, the first time I lost it I called HTC customer service and they sent me a new one at N/C. Great Customer Service! the second time my wife lost it and I haven't bothered replacing it. I simply keep it wrapped in a microfiber eyeglass cleaning cloth that I also use to clean the screen with.

If I were to buy a case I would consider this one:
Seidio - Your Single Source for Premium Smartphone Accessories
(as mentioned above)

But honestly I don't want to add a case/cover to my phone at all, if it gets scratched I will just have it custom painted here:
ColorWare - Google Nexus One

Another vote here for the case mate tough. I've been using it several months now and it's been perfect for protection as well as keeping the form factor as small as possible. It's been so good I'm going to buy the fire engine red version in addition to the black that I already have. :) The case makes the Nexus feel great in your hand. Not that it doesn't already, but I mean with a case on it.:)

forget the case.if you had a beautiful girlfreind/boyfreind(maybe you do)would you wrap her up in buble wrap before you take her/him out?
enjoy your nexus as it was meant to be,naked.

ROFL...I do hope your partner does not go out in public NAKED! :P

case = clothes ;)

Yeah hope so, I read a few good reviews and saw one at a good price, so jumped on it.
I just ordered from their website and noticed it says the red and gray is backordered 1-2 weeks. Wish I hadn't been lazy and got it ordered a few days ago. With 6-10 days on the free shipping and the 1-2 week backorder I could be waiting awhile.

Mines from an Amazon seller, seems they don't officially do it in the UK. Good news was inc. shipping it was about a fiver cheaper than any other supplier :D

Here's what I did, and it's really worked for me. My case is almost like the Otterbox series cases now.
I bought 2 cases, one hard plastic and one silicone. I put the hard plastic on the phone first, and the silicone on top of that. Gives my phone enough protection so I can man-handle it without worrying too much. Add to that, a $3 (after S+H) screen protector and I'm gold!

Plastic case: Amazon.com: BLACK RUBBERIZED SNAP ON HARD SKIN FACEPLATE PHONE SHIELD COVER CASE FOR HTC NEXUS 1 NEXUS ONE + BELT CLIP: Electronics
Silicone case: Amazon.com: Premium Solf Gel Silicone Skin Case for Google Nexus One 1 - Black: Electronics

+ Screen protector..all combined still cost me under $10.

Interesting but if you have 2 cases, wouldn't that make your beautiful Nexus ...fat? How many mm are you adding to its waist line? lol

Good job on that price.:) I couldn't find the red and gray anywhere except the case mate site.:(

Mine shipped today from case-mate so I guess that backorder stuff on their site is just to get you to hurry and order.:D

Haha. It does. But That's what I need.
I'm always afraid of lying the phone back down, because of the obtrusive camera lenses getting scratched...so this 2 case situation helps in giving enough width so I can literally throw my phone on my desk and not worry about the camera. Plus I came from an iPhone 3GS..and despite the 2 cases on the Nexus, it feels thinner than my iPhone with only 1 casemate hard plastic case.

@ozzy: Well that's a really good deal, everything under $10! If I were to buy one of the cases, which one would you recommend?

Between...you know that that obtrusive camera lense is a cover right? lol It protects the lense inside...thus the obtrusiveness ;)

Well I should be getting a Nexus pretty soon and after reading through this topic I think I'm gonna go with the Case Mate Tough ^^

Other than a boxwave screen protector, mine is naked. I have the boxwave $6 snap iin holder and thats fine when its not in my pocket or OEM sleeve. I have two cradled and a car kit that simply won't allow anything on it. At some point I might try some type of film on the back or side to reduce the slip. Until then, I am just very careful.

got my case from ultra-case.com today ("The One") and am kinda disappointed. for the $21 i expected a little more quality. it has sharp edges around mold lines and is not the "hard" case they described. it's barely a little thicker than a silicone case. not to mention i didn't realize (stupid me) they were in hong kong and delivery took 22 days.

People with cases to protect against dropping important things crack me up :p

If you have a kid are you going to insulate them with a protective case to protect your kid when you drop them as well?

Just treat your N1 like you would your own child... Give it freedom to breath AND (most important) dont drop it ;)

lol...I think if you give most parents the choice...they WOULD wrap their kids in some kind of protective case ;) but I think that's just how parents are...always worrying about their wee little ones.

Accidents happen, no matter how careful you are with anything in life!

I like the case that the phone comes in with, dropped it a few times and no damage done :)
