Could you please not link to wall street journal. It is like linking to ozcarguide. But worst, not only it is a bunch of made up stuff, but made up stuff they want to charge you to view.
I can not edit, but need to add.

If anyone wants to read the article, you need to copy the title, and google it.

Then follow the google link to read the article. All direct links to the wsj will need a subscription to view.

Just google the title to read the article.

Thanks. I would not have imagined the Wall Street Journal not being a good source and compared to ozcarguide.

Funny you say this...Yesterday I called sprint to see if I could get a better discount on my bill (from the 15% one I get for being a student at my university), and I mentioned that I volunteer at Henry Ford Hospital and they upped my discount to 23%! I was happy.

Hm. Maybe I can do that too--I work for my university, though I don't have a special email address because of it. When I enter my email address to check my discount, it's only 15%, so I'm not sure if they're assuming I'm just a student, or...

so this guy got to play with the evo and was blown away by it, all he could say was "that's crazy" lol

Gaaaaahhhhhhh!!!! He was right there at the memory setting and he didn't show it, but did he say 7.39? 7.39 what?? GB?? Is that the microSD memory or internal memory?

So close....

I saw that too. Was gonna take a screencap of it (around 1:53 mark), but if you pause it and look at the top of the screen, it says SD Card...LOL. At the verty top, it clearly says SD & phone storage.

Below Total Space, it says Available Space and has something like 414MB (hard to tell because the video's so blurry).

So, based on that alone, I think it almost confirms that the internal storage (not the ROM) is insignificant.

I could be wrong though.

A while back I think somebody posted a site that listed EVERY possible corporate discount - can anybody provide a link to that? I'm trying like hell to save money on my bill...

Is this the site you are looking for?

Sprint corporate discount - SlickDeals.net Forums

Posted in '05, so I'm not sure if the figures have changed.
Actually that list only has 271 companies, the list I have has 16538. Its in an excel spreadsheet, but I think i can convert it to an adobe pdf file. either way its big.

But you could get the same results by typing in your email address in the Sprint Employee discount lookup page here.

(Although in all fairness to Sprint, my company did not show up via that link but rather on the list and I told them and they applied it.)

Hey look, its the stupidest thing I've read here yet.
Wow resorted to personal attacks have we? Nice. WSJ is just to the right of Fox news and the "reporters" make Glen Beck look rational. I will not go competely offtopic here, but let me put it this way.

Sprint to Unveil First WiMax Phone - WSJ.com

There is not much in there that is really the truth. Heavly slated to WIMAX VS LTE, which is not true. And LTE GREAT, WIMAX BADDDD.

The wall street journal is not a technology magazine and is slanted to support financial traders with money in the markets.

It is meant to control the opinions of the investors to the benefits of the people that are in the market.

The current market backing is for lte. Which means they can not be trusted to tell the truth bout anything that does not fully support lte.

The above article is only about 20% true. Which makes it on the level of ozcarguide.

So this may or may not interest some of you; however for someone like me that wants to buy two EVO's, but only has one available line to upgrade and one that is only available for half of an upgrade this might.

I called BB today to finally get an answer to whether or not I could purchase another EVO for my wife and receive the instant rebate because her line isn't up for upgrade yet.... if I were to upgrade it I would imagine instead of receiving the full $150 off I would only receive $75. You guys with me so far?!?! I know it may come off as a bit confusing and for that I am sorry.

I was told by BB that after this release, per a conference call today, they will no longer be working with Sprint to upgrade 1 year premier customers. When I asked him why, he simply stated BB makes no money on it. As far as receiving the instant rebate on my wife

TS, thanks for that link, but my work email brings back nothing. Not surprised, my company is only like 30 people.

I want to see if I can get something for being a former student at Ohio St, or being in the alumni association, or in my old credit union, etc.

Does anything come back for Ohio State in your list TS? Whether student, alumni, or worker. I could supply proof for any of those three.

Awesome! OSU gets a 15% discount. I'll just have to bring my alumni card, former student id, and work badge so I'm prepared for whatever that ambiguity means :D

check your pm. SP

Edit: going back to what SoFlo was talking about, I just noticed that I may be in the same boat. My 1 year premier date is in Oct. and thats for one of the phones. The other no go. I chatted with CS but they told me to call a number and ask there about upping my date. I just may have to get rid of the Touch thats on SERO for one of the evo's since thats out of contract. bummer.

I like where this is going. Is there any way to check if New York University also has an alumni listing?
Oh no, you didn't just go there. There is no way i am going to be going back and forth giving out info on the fly. I'll lose my mind. lol

btw, NYU only has 5% as per the list.

I will be putting the list up in a thread so i do not have to take requests. But it will take me a few hours to do it. remember its over 16000 companies.

If any of you have Microsoft Excel 2007 or any excel that can view 2007 files, then I can put up the link to my spreadsheet and let you look up the info. Otherwise you will all have to wait till I put it in a thread.

TS

I appreciate your work TS. Maybe you could sticky the thread and title it "Do I qualify for a discount?"

Also, since launch is drawing near it may be a good idea to have a thread revolving around Sprint plans where people can ask questions. Maybe they could be the same? IDK...just brain storming...
