Thats pretty much why I have mine set the way it is. Its loud and unmistakably my phone. Liking the song doesnt hurt either.

I use an old school rotary phone ringer wet really loud so I know it's my phone ringing. For e-mail I have the Monty Python clip "Message for you sir!" and for text messages a low volume sonar ping. All also set to vibrate as well.
