Accessories What kind of Car Mount are you using?

I'm looking for a magnetic car mount that won't interfere with the wireless charging. iOttie has a mount that is also a wireless charging mount. Any idea if this will still work with the Samsung wireless charger?

I think if it was designed to hold a wireless charging pad, then it should work, and it wouldn't be fit for purpose if it didn't. The danger is the magnet in close proximity and interfering with the wireless/induction charging process, and the design of the mount must take measures to prevent that.

I currently have a CD mount but I don't like it. They just don't stay in very well. I am looking into Scosche's magicmount charge. It's kinda pricey but works as a charger and a magnetic mount for car and home. I have coupon code for 20% off any purchase over $35 and free shipping over $49 and I think I can share it if you want to try too.

Actually, I got one of these for my vehicle:

I liked it so much, I bought a second one for the Darling Bride's vehicle, too! I keep them clipped to the AC vent... that keeps the phone cool on long trips. Highly recommended!

Mpow brand cd-mount.
So far so good - seems very secure, and has a ledge on bottom to hold phone.

I think I've tried every mount in the book and I always go back to the magnet mount:

Small and holds the device well. Windshield or dash. :D

I have a nice Avantek car mount that readily handles big, weighty phones (I switch between my Note 8 and an LG V20). You can mount it to the windshield or dash, it has a toggle-activated suction cup and you can mount your phone either horizontally or vertically. Got at Amazon on sale I think for like $11.99.

The problem I am finding with the magnet mount is that I also want to use my Samsung wireless charging dock at night so my phone serves as a bedside clock. With that purpose in mind I have to place the metal plate at the very bottom of the phone which makes it top heavy for the magnet mount and therefore not particularly stable.

I made my own. A fender washer, two magnets from an old hard drive, a couple of sticks of snap-blades between my S8 and TPU case...

True. One non-optimal option is a Mophie case/system, but may add unnecessary weight to already heavier phone and generally unneeded to have extra battery backup as the N8 battery life seems quite good

Since I bought 2 Seidio cases for my Taimen, I got a couple of good deals on other stuff - like car mounts.

https://www.seidioonline.com/product/seidio-magnetic-car-vent-mount/ - that was a special $10 buy with the first case I bought. Still on sale, apparently.

The I opted for a better case, and got this one at the same price: https://www.seidioonline.com/product/seidio-magnetic-car-dash-mount/

Of course, if you use wireless charging, then these are not for you, as the piece that goes on the back of the phone / inside the back side of the case is said to interfere with wireless charging....

I was thinking of getting that but I didn't want to pay 45 for just a charging mount.
