Need to slap phone for it to unlock.

Okay... so this is kinda bizarre but...

I recently had my phone replaced under my insurance. It had been working fine until last night when upon me locking it and unlocking it again, the lock screen was different. The top half of the screen was purple, displaying the time, and the bottom half black. The whole screen was unresponsive. The only way I could get the phone back to its actual lock screen was to literally vigorously slap it on the back. Any explanation as to what is wrong?

Sounds like something got messed up in the repair. Either a loose connection or damaged connection maybe? I'd get a hold of them and see if they can fix for free what they messed up.

Remember the fingerprint scanner on the back is also a button. That may be getting stuck, leading back to the repair.
