Yeah, I was excited to see this on engadget - Froyo is coming to Evo!

Did you actually read their statement? All they said was that all phones released in 2010 will "most likely" be getting the update. This statement makes me feel WORSE about the EVO receiving Froyo in a timely fashion.

Doesn't matter because custom roms will be rocking it well before and the only thing the official update is good for is losing root access.

I'm new to this whole Android thing. Regarding these custom roms I keep seeing mentioned - Will there likely be a custom rom shortly after the EVO and Froyo releases that you can install on your phone that would include Froyo with the Sense UI overlay, or would you be stuck with stock Android for the time being until HTC comes out with their Sense UI overlay for Froyo?
