Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

I believe it goes to the email in the myverizon website... though I am also the account holder so I cant be sure...
I originally ordered mine on May 4th and received it May 6th. BUT it took 3 trips to VW and 5 days to get it activated. Then four days later it malfunctioned. So on May 14th VW ordered a replacement and said it should ship by June 3rd! So who's fault is it that VW doesn't have enough inventory - VW or HTC????
FYI I went to Best Buy today and they had 20 of them and said they keep coming in. bought one and went to the Verizon store I ordered from and tried to canx my order they told me I had to wait and when it arrived to bering it in and ill get a full refund. So even if you ordered check Best Buy

Called them and they told me its being held in LA until Monday. Hoped it would be in Irvine as I am in San Clemente. Just gonna wait for it. But I would assume any shipments coming south would also be at the hub in LA, should try and pick it up! if you are in that area!

No, sir. Not yet. It's funny how I've gotten all my accessories I've ordered, but not the phone. Now I can pretend to have an Incredible. Oh, joy.

5/10 myself and nothing here either.
A guy at the bar last night had one and it was really tempting to beat him with my bar stool and run off with his phone while laughing maniacally.
Then reality set in and I realised I probably couldn't get it activated anyway.
3 or 4 more beers and I would have had a useless Incredible.
I did the same only through VZW's website. So could you clarify this for me, they told you that you would have the device by 6/11 or it would be shipped out 6/11
Same here, ordered 5/10 in store and no news yet. Called VZW tonight and they said it will possibly ship the 26th or 29th. They are just as clueless now as they were before the launch. I don't blame the CSR's though, I blame management for leaving them in the dark.

If they are able to provide you the posted ship by date, and phones are shipping by that date, it doesn't appear that either one of you is in the dark.

I have called Verizon twice, both times different answers, last thing I heard was they were getting there next Incredible shipment on June 7th or 10th...

I ordered mine on the 18th and the site said it would ship out on the 9th of June. So that sounds about right.

oh. interesting. But if you bought it at verizon under a new contract, how did you also get it discounted at best buy?!?
The contract isn't valid till you activate the phone so no phone no contract. When I bought it at BB it was my first contract with Verizon. I wasn't going to wait till maybe June 10th when there were 20 sitting down the road. I even asked if I could sell the phone to a friend and she said no.
Then why 2 dates?

phones ordered on the 10th have been getting different days. I have gotten anywhere from 26-29 as the "ship by date" so it is a little confusing. However, I assumed I would get it way before these dates based on people who ordered the phone earlier saying they got the phone 1-2 weeks early. It appears thats not that case anymore and they truly are shipping out around the dates given.

Somebody is making stuff up, that's why. There is only one date provided for each order date and it is specific to the warehouse for the area that ships orders for your area. Ask them to give you the date on InfoManager, the source all employees can view to provide a single "ship by" date. Anything else is something they made up.

There is only a single ship by date for each Incredible order date for the warehouse you are served from, so anything other than the posted date is something somebody made up. Any employee can view the dates on InfoManager.
It is quite normal that not all phones ordered on a single date would ship out at the same time. First, there are multiple warehouses that receive product from HTC at different times. Second, if there are 5,000 orders for your date and they receive 4,000 phones, only the first 4,000 will ship out that day. The remaining 1,000 will ship when the next delivery arrives. That's why they give the "ship by" date, to ensure they can receive the needed deliveries and get the phones out to all customers promised to ship by that date.
You know what they say about assuming. If VZW promises to ship by a certain date and keeps their end of the deal, they have fulfilled their promise to you. If shipments were coming in quicker before, but have slowed, it should be irrelevant as long as they ship by the promised date.
