If it doesn't, at least you are not alone.
There are many articles about the same difficulties you are having.

View attachment 146747 I can just touch the settings wheel next to any of the paired devices, and a 'forget' option appears.
I actually have Note 4 , changes I made in BuildProps is why it desplays at a Note 5.
I would have assisted a higher OS would have the same or even more options, at least it should.

You would think so.
Unfortunately, I have found that with every OS 'update', there generally seems to be less options for adjustment, and the ones that remain are harder to find.
Case in point is how up through Android 7 there was a built in cache cleaner.
This was discontinued in Android 8.
After Android 6 or so, most 'cleaning apps don't work as well as they did on previous OS.
To get into individual app settings on an 8, there are extra steps compaired to previous OS.
(I have since been using KISS launcher, which solves this for the most part.)
It sure would be nice if there was a way for the user to decide what and which setting adjustments would be available and active.
Of course, I mean all settings, including those that are hidden behind 'Developer's Options' and 'System UI Tuner'.
My guess is that there are even more 'hidden' settings that I haven't stumbled across yet.
It annoys me that there must be millions of people whose user experience has been reduced due to not knowing of these 'hidden' settings, and now there might be even less of them with each additional OS change.
