App symbol identification

Can anyone tell me which app uses a star inside of a white circle? I don't have a picture, asking for a friend. Thanks!

A star in a circle is a little vague. You mention a picture, can you show the picture or do a google search for the picture?

we get this question a lot. there are well over a million apps floating around out there, each with their own notification symbols. and if you add the fact that websites can also send you notifications to your phone as well.....that is a mighty long list. it does help if you have a picture, but even with one, i doubt that we can pinpoint exactly what it is. unless it is something well known, you most likely will not get a full answer.

the only tru way to know is to look at the phone's notifications list. but as in your case most of these kind of threads access to the phone is not an option.

Not on my phone they can't.
(I never allow any website to post notifications).

See if your friend can narrow it it down just a little bit and then do a search in the play store or another repository site. The search result icons might help.
