Help Remove Factory Binary

All of the suggestions above require a computer. From my understanding of the problem I would be amazed if there was a way of fixing it without. If you don't have access to a computer I suggest talking to someone who has.

Personally unless I had bought a phone knowing it wasn't working I would want my money back. But on the other hand if someone was selling an S8 at that price it had to be either faulty, bricked, blacklisted, stolen or a fake phone - that's way too low a price for a legitimate S8 in good working order.

Are you still stuck in Factory Binary Mode?
If so, you should be able to access your settings and enable USB debugging.
That Settings.About Phone and tap Build Number 10 times, go back one screen and below or above About Phone will be Developer Settings, enter that and turn on USB debugging and Enable OS Modify(if you can).
Ok, now you should be able to see your phone on your PC and give it ADB commands.
I hope you know how to do this,,,
So give it
adb reboot download

you should now be in Download Mode. Flash correct firmware with Odin.
Done.
:)
i have the same factory binary problem on my grand prime sm-g530az. i see the settings icon but nothing happens when i tap it..same with wifi,...i used that firmware to try getting around an FRP lock. if i flash it again with a stock firmware, i go back to the same FRP problem i started with..i just wnat to get this fixed so i can use the thing !............someone email me a working fix for this i'd be greatful !......<email removed>

Ive run into the same issue, on an s9 G960USQ... so im dealing with the snap dragon processor, you can reach download mode, i.c.e. push volume up, volume down, bixby, and power button, hold for 10 seconds to shut everything down, then hold vol down, power, and bixby to go into download mode.... unfortunately I am unable to root my os right now to put linux on it as I had planned because snapdragon processor to date has not been rooted.
Anyone with some firmware for me to unsoft brick my phone would be greatly appreciated, even if I have to go back to samsungs firmware instead of linux for now, id still greatly appreciate it,
please email it to me at <email removed>

just go to sammobile and find your exact model. makes sure it matches as flashing the wrong firmware could mess up your phone. instructions will be given on the website on how to flash the firmware.

Thanks ocnbrze, ill give that another shot, if ive flashed it a bunch of times already with a bunch of different firmware, would that cause my repeated odin failures?
You say flashing it with the wrong firmware could damage the device, would damaging the device cause odin to failure, causing a complete brick?

Odin is usually pretty smart about pushing inappropriate firmware. It will almost certainly fail before anything gets flashed -- most of the time. If it allows you to proceed, it may be that you are flashing firmware for the right phone but a regional variant that's not entirely compatible. A true hard brick these days is rare unless you really put some effort into it.

Have you tried the emergency recovery part of Samsung's Smart Switch? I'd recommend that first since it will detect your phone and recommend the correct firmware and then flash it for you. It is my understanding that if you plug a non-functioning Samsung device into a PC while Smart Switch is running, it should take you right to the emergency recovery option. If not it's a little tricky finding it. This article provides some good info.

Samsungs smart switch was not recognizing the device, however flashing it with the proper firmware worked! Thankyou kindly for your suggestion.

i'm glad it worked. you might want to trouble shoot getting smart switch working. it is a very handy tool. check your samsung drivers are up to date. also maybe check your usb cables as well.
