g6 no service problem

Since the last 2 android system updates (version 9) I have had an issue with my phone staying locked in a "no service" condition. The signal at my house is on the weak side, around -117db, which means in my basement there is virtually no signal at all. I often use the phone as an mp3 player while working in the basement, but since the updates mentioned when I get back to where I should be getting a signal the phone displays "no service" and stays in that condition until I completely reboot it -- then it is fine again until the next time.

Anyone else having a problem like this, or any suggestions to solve it?

Do you not have wifi in the basement? what phone do you have? it could be that your service provider just has bad coverage in your area....not sure what you can do about that.

Check your settings.
Start from the homepage.

Goto (your device may vary):
Settings
Mobile Network
Advanced

Double check whatever you can under mobile network and advanced.

I don't know what phone you've got of course, but possibly check the carrier selection settings, is it on AUTO or MANUAL?
