Help login button not secure?

As the title says, whenever I log in fresh (usually after doing some pruning with the likes of ccleaner on my pc), when I go to log in, I see that the browser whines and tells me that this isn't a secure connection. I basically have to hit that button (without entering anything) and then the log in button that appears after that has a secure connection so I can submit my login/password info. And this is even with 2FA enabled on my account. What gives?

Well, was about to try logging in from my phone, but the site is so toxified with ads that I couldn't even get to log in, because the ads kept covering EVERY PIXEL OF SPACE. geeze, guys... knock it off with that crap.

I use an ad blocker, adguard, which creates its own VPN and blocks all the rubbish ads on all sites.
No slow loading websites and works great. I have it installed on both my computer and mobile devices

Odd, like ocnbrze and mikedt it's a secure connection for me with that login pop up.

Do you know when it started?

I'm having to re-log in, every time I visit the site, also.
Another user was having this issue, are you using this bookmark to find new posts?

If you are, bookmark it exactly as is, not the URL that shows up after clicking that link since they are different. And are you checking to stay logged in for 30 days?

No. I don't know when it started. But i do know it's even happening at home on a brand new pc build. Fresh install of the os and everything.

And this site is miserable to use on the phone, where your options are chrome, and chrome derivatives.

I have that when using firefox from my phone. Not when using a laptop.
The phone isn't asking for 2FA, so I don't get the option of telling anything to trust the device/browser for 30 days. I am clicking "keep me logged in". I'd assumed that this was a tightening of Firefox's privacy settings clearing login cookies or something similar, but if it's happened at the same time to others using a different browser that makes that less likely (I'd not changed any settings myself).

I've been using the same bookmark/shortcut ever since I joined. Only started within the last couple of weeks.
Have absolutely no idea what changed.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Gonna try the bookmark that you suggested and see if it still happens.

Another mod discovered something that might be causing users to login repeatedly, and might also be causing the login button issue showing as not secure.

For anyone having those issues - were you using bookmarks or clicking links to AF that were standard HTTP and not secure HTTPS? From what we've seen going to an HTTP page will show you as logged out.

When I tested this I could simply go to an HTTPS page and would be logged in as normal.
