Why is Samsung Pay getting rid of rewards? WTF

meh.....i kind of gotten over using it to be honest.
according sammobile it did say that the email sent out did say "for the time being" so they may bring it back.....probably this is a casualty of the pandemic and once the world economy gets back going again....maybe they'll bring it back

I do not even use it as much, most of the apps are coming from my google play account, so I am out of the circle of Samsung's account anyways.
Companies discontinue things that aren't working for them. So if they think these "rewards" aren't bringing in enough extra business to be worth the overheads they bring then they drop them. It wouldn't be the first service Samsung have dropped (Google of course are the masters at introducing something, losing interest and dropping it a year or three later).
Google was more subtle though. They instituted a "Use it or Lose it" policy. Really surprised people who had a couple of hundred USD banked.
