Change from black and white to color

How do I change the display from black and white to color. I went to settings as they recommend and the power saver is off but it still displays black & white.

How did it get to black and white?

The problem was miraculously fixed by me turning off and turning on my phone. Don't know what I did in the first place to create this issue.

probably just a glitch. phones should be re-booted every once in a while. just to clear out any temporary cache files. those sometime can get corrupted and cause issues.

It sounds like you may have inadvertently tapped the 'invert colors' quick setting tile or the 'chroma' setting in the system settings.

The first time I hear that this can be. I would make the display black and white if I could.
