Flash & flashlight

do you mean a factory reset? what happens when you turn the flashlight on? and are you sure the camera flash is turned on? if it is on, what happens when you take a picture trying to use flash? nothing? no flash? error? phone explodes?
 
Yeah what is up? Care to share the idea behind what the camera default should of done, mine has been working amazing since OOB.
 
just to put software out of the equation, try putting the tablet in safe mode and see if the issue persists. safe mode prevents 3rd part apps from running. if you get flash back then an app was the cause of the issue. if you still have no flash, then you can try a factory reset....keep in mind that a reset will wipe data. if after the reset you still have the issue, then we can safely say it is a hardware issue.
 
Tried the safety reset. Still no camera flash or flashlight. Plus, the screen began intermittently stuttering this morning. Gonna trade it in for tab s7. Thanks all for your help.

You can turn that off by the default - System settings > App settings > Power button and shut off bixby.
