I drove for him regularly the 90"s.

Lovely guy. Lovely family.

A great loss.

Just heard that the one of the last of the old-school comics, Jackie Mason, has passed at age 93. I could take him in small doses but he sure knew his fan base and led them to laugh after laugh.

RIP, Jackie, and thanks for making so many laugh for so long.

Dusty Hill, ZZ Top’s bass player, has left us at 72. No cause of death was noted.

RIP, Mr. Hill, and thanks for all of the bearded talent over the years. Condolences to your family, friends, fans and loved ones,

Maki Kaji, the creator of Sudoku, has died at 69 from bile duct cancer. (No truth to the rumor that chairs for the memorial service will be arranged into 9x9 grids.)

I have long loved Sudoku and I’m grateful for his creation of this fun and challenging puzzle. RIP, Maki, and thanks for adding to the great puzzles of the world.

I grew up to the Everly Brother's songs. My sister, four years my senior, afforded me an early exposure. I understand that Phil and Don had a rocky relationship but they put beautiful harmony to music.

Michael K. Williams, probably best know for his role as Omar Little on The Wire, was found dead in his NY apartment on Monday. He was 54; no cause of death has been identified.

RIP, Mr. Williams, and thank you for sharing your talents and entertaining many.

Versatile actor (and veritable master of the deadpan look) Michael Constantine has died of natural causes at 94.

I first remember him in “Room 222” and last saw him (I think) in “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” lauding the myriad benefits of Windex. He always knew where to find the laughs.

RIP, Mr. Constantine, and thanks for entertaining so many for so long.
