For quite a few years now I have been saying that the true cost of a bad movie is not the price of the ticket, but the waste of time spent getting ready, going to the theater, and coming back home. That's time you can never get back.
But this advice is actually a useful yardstick for most anything and at almost any stage of life. Whatever time you spend on something, be sure it's of value to you when you compare it to anything else you might be doing. It will sure cut down on regrets later.
