Perhaps we can find issue in the joints .....

I was a cabinet maker. I took pride in my tight joints.

I've been known to use a box of dovetail joint with a dowel to lock things down.
For cabinets I'd use a mitered box joint for aesthetics.

I did work the most simplest machines at the farm, helped my father a little bit but we were kids and had started to build upon more of an intelligent way, and scored in school areas as well.
