I am anticipating BEC (bacon egg & cheese) sandwiches soon. It's a favorite of both my wife and I.The wife said something about BLT 's for supper tonight.
Bro that sounds so amazing.Tonight, home made deluxe burritos. I'm thawing out a package of frozen pulled pork that I'll season with chili seasoning and some diced onion. I'll add some pinto beans and let that simmer. I'll make a cheese sauce with Velveeta and diced jalapenos and mix it with the pulled pork mixture in tortillas. I'll add tomato sauce to the remining bean and meat mixture to make a chili to pour over the top of the burritos before baking with a shredded cheddar topping. Trust me on this.... It will be some fantastic eats tonight!!!
That reminds me of my scouting days as a youth. We had what we called pie makers. Cast iron in two halves with long handles. Two slices of buttered and sugar and cinnamon bread with pie filling between pinched together and toasted in the camp fire. I found similar toasters as an adult and bought them so my kids could make pies on the patio fireplace. I think they still hang in the shed. The Boss Lady bought a couple or the Crimpet gizmos, so I took some leftover BBQ and Monterey Jack cheese and did the crimp.
Gonna take some getting used to them but I think that cherry pies are in our future.
