Just say NOOO to Pizza Hut

Last night we were watching the games and somebody got the bright idea to order a pizza and some wings. As the one who knows how to operate such things, I was pressed into service as the caller. By that time he was drunk and somewhat more easily annoyed than usual. I had to do some translating ("onion", "extra cheese"). Then I was the order grabber. I'm not sure who actually delivered as the stuff was just sitting there. I did notice that it didn't seem to be much for the price (almost $45 not counting the tip). It was close to 25 for the pizza, a medium meat lover with a couple more ingredients. The wings were more than $9 (8 boneless), and the big bottle of soda above 4.50. Quality was not that great and I'm not sure about how long it took. Anyway long story short is quite a while before next time. Eating there would have been out of the question because they still do that pandemic stuff such as having the drivers hanging out where people could eat. Some time ago I noticed that they no longer have the phone number on their sign. What's up with them? Didn't they used to be the gold standard?

I can't tell you the last time we had Pizza Hut. They are losing money and can't figure out what's wrong! Same with Papa Johns: we cut them off when the board fired Papa John and quality took a nosedive. We're on crash diets, so pizza's pretty well off the menu for us anyway right now. If we order one, it will be a local place or maybe Dominos, which is still at least mildly consistent.

Yeah I cann0t tell y0u when the last time I had Pizza Hut 0r Papa J0hn's we are m0stly an indie pizza pal0r d0wn the r0ad call Papa murphy's they take y0ur 0rder and y0u take it h0me and c00k it, they have been w0nderful all the way ar0und.

I was once a fan of Pizza Hut pizza but I moved on. Their prices kept increasing while the quality of their products decreased. I tried this and that pizzeria and finally completed the franchise circle and returned to the original locally owned pizza parlor. They serve a few hot sandwiches and maybe ten different pies. There is no choice in crust and each pie can be had with a white or a red sauce. Nothing fancy but consistently hot and tasty with an adequate amount of toppings at half the price of the Hut ripoff. You know exactly what you are going to get every time.

I always liked the Pizza Hut but readily agree that the prices have become ridiculous.

Haven't ordered a pizza, to go, from anywhere, I a while now, so I decided to see what my pizza would cost.
Taking a create your own large pizza, starting at $15.00 and simply adding my favorite toppings quickly got the price up to over $37.00. that's just for a pizza.

Think that the Boss Lady and I will stick with a Red Baron pizza, from the Walmart, for about $5.00.

I love Red Barron on a nice snow in kind of day, it has an amazing texture.
