Heart Trauma Recovery

They said that I had A-Fib, after I had the covid, back in 2020. Every time I visited the cardiologist though the EKG didn't pick up any A-Fib abnormalities. Still prescribed that Eliquis, twice a day, also.
This past spring I got tangled up in some briars while cutting them out. The Boss Lady thought I had cut an artery or something.
Heck, I even bled when I got the flu shot a couple weeks ago.
 
While on Plavix, my bed sheets looked like a scene from The Godfather. I kept a pump bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide topical solution handy to help clean up the messes I made daily. Not only unhealthy as far as I'm concerned, it was embarrassing on many occasions. I would bleed badly and not know it until someone that was freaked out would try to help me. sheesh! It's a high price to pay to be healthy.

My groin is a lot more sore this morning, but I can tell the bleeding is slowing down. Usually just rolling over in bed make a couple of the usual suspects start and it did not do that this morning.

Kinda reminds me of the stories I have read about when doctors thought bleeding one was a cure for alot of things ...

They took me off of Eliquis and started Plavix. Eliquis prevents the blood from clotting, (Coagulant), Plavix prevents the platelets (blood cells involved in clotting) from sticking together and forming harmful clots in the arteries.


Supposed to rain today, gonna be a good day to sit at the keyboard or on the couch watching tv ....

I'm fishing for an update.. I sure hope you are seeing some improvement on how you are feeling.
 
I feel better today but the bleeding seems still to be non stop . Had 4 spots going at once this morning and the wifey is complaining about me bleeding all over the leather couch ....

I got alot to do today, but am going to fire off an email to the cardio people and just let them know I am still bleeding ... alot !

I cut myself this morning pulling the goodies out of our turkey the wife is cooking today. Must have caught a bone in the carcass. It was the first cut I've had in a while and it bled but not ridiculously. I'm still on a slow release aspirin and now know I'm still a bleeder. Nothing like what you are dealing with. I've had it bad but not so bad now. I hope your bleeding backs off. It is hell to bleed everywhere!

Do your wounds heal at a slow rate? My skin is extremely thin and I suffer more surface wounds than cuts. I peeled the skin off of the back of my hand the 6th of November. I injured myself removing my bike rack from my truck so I know the date. The injury is almost healed today. A tiny scab in the middle of the scrape still exists. A typical wound would have healed in a couple of days prior to my heart attack and meds. If I knock that scab off, I would bleed again.
