Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

I think the case of chips got wet and all the bags shrank!

Seriously, folks: I'd really be interested in knowing WHO out there contacted the Doritos people and complained that the 1-ounce snack bag of Doritos is too big to finish in one sitting; and/or that the chips are too large to handle comfortably. I ask because enough people apparently raised a fit over that massive 1-ounce bag, resulting in the release of a ½-ounce bag of miniature Doritos chips. Hopefully eating that many chips at one time won't stuff their gut or anything. Really, though, how many people have so few first-world problems that the size of a snack bag of Doritos is at the top of their complaint list???

That'd be me, Chief.
Actually, the half ounce bag is more than I can stomach.

It's ironic because the 1-ounce bag says the serving size is 1 ounce, or the whole bag. The 1/2-ounce bag says the serving size is 1/2 ounce, or the whole bag. The chips are smaller, the bag is smaller, but it's still one serving? Heck, I'll eat more chips than that while I'm trying to decide if I even want to eat chips! :p

What the heck dudes?

I was not a fan of bologna, we were a poor family and that is all we could afford at that time.

I took bologna sammiches for way too long, now I would starve, before eating another one ...

We had bacon and eggs every morning. My father, sister, and I, all took a bacon sandwich for lunch. My dad had a lunch pail with a thermos. Sis and I sacked it. We were poor as well. All of my friends were poor too so it didn't seem so bad.

I cauculated the time, and yeah pretty cl0se 0f healing my ankle and my sciattia, l0ng pr0gressive like eight s0lid weeks,
Alm0st fr0m bef0re my sister's birthday 0n April fifth until M0ther's day... Yeah , but the pain is still is there... It is n0t like n0thing will ever feel right 0n it 0r my head, my sleeping has been extremely weird, and I want t0 play vide0 games 0n my ps3 at 0ne in the m0rning.

Our po folk dinner, when I was a teenager, was heat & eat Salisbury Steak and Gravy. If I never eat that stuff again I'll be content.
That sounds like one of our weekly meals when me and two other guys starved out our freshman year at college. I haven't eaten it since.
When my kids were little and we were desperately poor, we ate casseroles all of the time. I don't think any of us have eaten a casserole since. There must be a 101 ways to fix Johnny Marzetti and none of them sound good. 🤣

Mom made baloney every way one could image, mashed taters, vegetables, fried, baked, you name it we had it.

Another staple was Spam. Now, that is still on my, will eat list. I actually have a can in the pantry but the wifey advised me I would have to cook and eat it outside as she did not want to smell it !

Goose liver lunch meat, often labeled as Goose Liverwurst and Vienna sausages are two more on the drive by list for me.

If not for scouts, I would have never tasted spam. My father refused to have it in the house. He had his fill in the service. I always thought it was pretty good when fried up with some eggs or taters. I LOVE goose liverwurst as well as Vienna sausages. My local market no longer sells liverwurst loaf which was a favorite sandwich meat for me. They still sell the Braunschweiger tube meat. There is almost always some in the fridge. It or Vienna sausages make a great snack with club crackers.

A can of Vienna sausages and a package of crackers and cheese from a quick buy place was lunch at least once and likely twice a week for over thirty years. Kipper snacks or sardines are good too. I will eat about anything on a cracker. :) Something similar was all I ever ate if I had something for lunch. I never liked eating much and then going back to work.
