Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

I guess it's just a wee bit too much to expect idle tools to remain in ready use. I gave away all but one six inch Bosch orbital sander when I retired in 2021. I am patching some of the original oak flooring in a bedroom that we no longer use. I think the old windows that I've now replaced must have leaked and let water come in under my last two daughter's bunk beds. In any event, I filled the cracks that were created and went to sand the filled flooring today. The hook and loop landing pad for the sanding disks disintegrated right before my very eyes. I guess the sander retired when I retired and had no desire to sand again. A replacement pad was cheap enough and I ordered a few sanding disks that are more aggressive than what I have. I'll leave the shop vac and sander in the house until the new pad and disks show up and I can complete my task.
Nothing hurts my feelings more than seeing good tools gone bad. I have a shed full of tools and they all were seeing daily use prior to my retirement. Every time I dig something out for a little task I have to repair or replace some of the tool to make it functional. Rust on a table saw is the biggest sin in this world. Friction is your enemy while using a table saw. I have almost come to fisticuffs with someone leaving their sweating drink on my saw while I was not there. My saw sits in the corner of my shed with many items stacked on top of it. I can see the rust on the table top through the junk. I raised four children and bought a home and put kids through college with that saw. It hurts my feelings to see good tools gone bad.
 
I received the new sander hook and loop landing pad and sandpaper today and gave the floor a good sanding. I then added some stain to blend the raw flooring to match the existing. All that went fairly well but the paintable and stainable filler I bought is not so stainable. Oh well, I do think it looks better than the curled up flooring with cracks between the boards. I might as well like it... I can't really fix it now. 😢
 
Well it strange of not having to put my photos to my comp, maybe Iwill do the cloud thing and upload them,, and dump out my memory on my cell I consider 37 Gigs used out of 128 gigs fill though, I just factory reset this on Fri. It took me just another spell of recovering but with my tablet, twice in a row so far..
 
Another night spend pretty much from 10 pm up until 1 a.m, with gerd, this time it is like coughing mostly up, I call this second stage in my mind, the ffirst is just the acid rising.

My gerd meds finally came in. I use Express Scripts and they are a 3 month supply only place.

No mo waking up with acid coming out of my nose ! ! ! !

Another night spend pretty much from 10 pm up until 1 a.m, with gerd, this time it is like coughing mostly up, I call this second stage in my mind, the ffirst is just the acid rising.

Awesome I am on Omipozole for about 13 years now, doctor should of said to step away but I cannot at all, I think the doctor only sees me like a half an hour ever and not throughout life itselff... Eh doctors what are you going to do when mine is in his 30s hahaaa...

Why don't you tell us how you really feel, Joe :)
 
Those who are involved incredit card/identity theft information, i would make them watch as their children were s/a over and over again and I would tell that child how much mommy and daddy hated them and that's why these bad things were happening to them and would continue to happen to them until they were fed to pigs
The only solution to some people and problems is absolutel violence. You attack them, you go after friends, family, associates, you destroy everything they own, you force them to go work the streets, you turn their children over human traffickers, pedophiles
Watch how fast credit card fraud and identity theft would disappear
 
Drunk drivers i have new found hatred for anyone who drinks and drives, I would gouge out that persons eyes, take them miles and miles out in the desert , forest , whatever take their all their clothing and shoes and then drive off and leave them 😆:D:specsdroid::thumbsupdroid:
And what about the people who served them
Same fate
Just imagine how quickly drunk drivers would disappear

Add that with country roads. I have an extreme pure hate for drivers in general.

A very slight glitch, on my cell just yesterday my entire wallpaper disapeared, but with a quick small turn on the cell with the power button after lettiing it rest, it restored... My sicattica kung fu leg of a wooden leg was sooooooooooo..... bleeping in pain lately but I can still walk on it....poop.
