HTC EVO Accessories For The Cheap-minded.

That's also an Amzer case. I would be careful with them. Read some of the reviews on their cases for the Droid and Incredible. Not very pretty.

took your advice and had second thoughts. love the design though but if it cant take a fall then i dont want it. ( not that i want to drop my evo, just saying)

Thanks OP, for the info. I just placed an order for the micro usb cable and car mount for $7.11 shipped. I live about 35 miles from their montclair warehouse, so it should take but a couple days to get to me.

where did you find this? not so crazy about the patterns, but like how thin it looks on the phone. i got a full body zagg coming in the mail, but wouldn't mind a case if its that thin.

Excellent find. That has the whole package. The only thing missing is the HDMI cable.

When you get it, let us know if the case fits. The description has the Samsung instinct listed as a device for that case, and if my memory is correct the Instinct is not the same size as the Evo.

I'm sure they wouldn't be selling it for the evo if it didn't work though and there is a strong possibility that I will buy the same package anyway.

Nice find though.
 
I also saw that bundle, but I was wary of the case, so I did not want to take a risk on it. Even if it does fit, it doesn't seem very good quality, but let us know how it works for you though.
 
I already have it. I have not even taken the
case out of it's wrapping because I ordered an
amzer case. The dash mount works fine with
my iPhone. The plastic is a little rigid or too
plasticky if you know what I mean but it's fine.
I like the long neck on the mount because I mount
it on my dash so the longer neck puts my phone
closer to me so it's easy to reach.

Does the case have a magnet to keep it closed, or is it just a regular snap?

I bought this case but its not shipping until 6/14 so I found this on ebay to use on the phone until the other one comes because im not ever using this handset without some type of case on it. This case looks nice and its almost for nothing $3.95. Its the first fitted case I have seen on ebay for the EVO. He had 10 an hour ago now he is down to 7. click the link.

They have cigarette lighter to USB for $1.16.

Just ordered all of this except the USB cable--1.5' isn't enough in my car.

For me, I don't care about the case so it wasn't an issue. The case is not poor quality but it's not great. I certainly don't see anything wrong with it. Since I don't have the EVO yet it's hard to say whether it would fit in the case. iPhone fits easily.

If you want a nice powerful charger for your car that looks nice, check out THIS

I bought two that came in recently. I got them because they put out 1000mA as they were meant for more power hungry phones like the iPhone. Plus they fit flush and look very nice. I have a program on my TP2 that measures power usage and I was able to pull 862mA out of one of these when my standard charger pulled much less. The TP2, I suspect, won't take advantage of the full 1000mA, but the Evo might. Regardless, the end result is a faster charge. Just plug in the USB cable of your choice (depending on the device) and you are set to go. Since it just provides a USB plug, this give you future proofing and more variety in the devices you can charge.
 
i ordered the gps mount and it came in today. for $5, its actually pretty decent of a mount. used the vent hooks as the actual mounts itself is too big and distracting on the dash of my little sentra. works pretty well.

i can't ask for more from a $5 piece, so i ordered 2 more for my folks today. thanks, op.
 
Hi guys, this thread is very informative. I am thinking of ordering some accessories (like car mount, case, screen protector, backup battery etc...). So, could you guys please update if it's been useful?
