Date you ordered and received the phone vs. "will ship by" date

A question for those of you who placed an order at a Verizon store.... were you told you would receive a shipping confirmation via email or..... that you would need to call the store close to the stated ship date?

if you go to Check Your Status - Verizon Wireless, and check your order status with your order number (should have received it via email), then it says on the last line that "You will receive shipment notification and tracking details via email." so i am assuming that they will send us the email with the shipping info on it.

I read somewhere that even if you ordered in the corp store, once you had a shipping notice, the order number would work on the VZW site. If that's true, I'm doing it wrong, cause it don't work for me? Do you need to enter something in addition to your order number from the receipt and your last name?

Grin and dont get me started on the vzw flashy and looks pretty web site but doesn't work worth a %$#!

I ordered mine through a CSR and I did not get any email confirmation, and I won't get one when the phone is getting shipped out either. The CSR did not check the box to send email notification to me. Guess I have to call.

Maybe my rep forgot to check the box? He asked which email I would like confirmation to, and I specified the email address, and he said ok, and then we hung up. Except I never got an email. Guess I'll have to call back.
 
I just talked with Chad from VCS. He said that the order is being processed in TN. He couldn't tell for sure when it would ship other than the 6/4 date. He said he will check the order starting the 1st to the 4th and if he sees it ship he will text me the tracking information. How awesome is that? I ordered the Incredible on 5/14, but the order was accepted on 5/15 (darn it).

Yesterday at 3pm I got an email from Verizon with the shipping information. The shipment will arrive 6/2. I ordered with two day ground (I regret that now

). I'm in Ohio by the way.

i have a 10 digit order number (1000XXXXXX), i didnt have to add anything extra and it worked for me, idk what might be wrong with your info. My order number is working but i haven't received a shipping notice it just says "will be shipped based on availability".

I have been doing the same.... and get the same notice.... "will be shipped based on availability! Stop freakin calling and checking the online status!".

So.... I guess it's just a waiting game...

I ordered in store on 5/16 and I don't think I ever got an order number. Guess I'll have to call Verizon CSR to get that.
 
Told to call the store, I asked for a shipping number and they acted like they couldn't find one or didn't know how.

Absolutely not true. It's just one more person making stuff up, and then people get upset because it doesn't happen. Your phone will ship by the promise date that was on the internet the day you ordered online or that are posted for employees on VZW's Infomanager (hopefully a bit sooner), but to say they will all ship on June 1st is pure nonsense.

Some potentially good news! I called fedex back (had a brainstorm!) and if your phone is at the delivery facility, you can pick it up there TODAY instead of waiting until tuesday! Mine's currently at the destination sort facility (airport), but I can't believe it wouldn't be at the delivery facility sometime today...

Pretty sure that's where mine is but unless the tracking is not updated I doubt it'll get to my local center by 5. We're probably going to have to wait till Tuesday.
 
This is for anyone who has already received their phone. Which probably doesn't do any good to ask because they are off enjoying their Incredible while the rest of us suckers sweat it out. lol But I digress. Did any of you receive shipping confirmation on the weekend? I know the phone won't come on the weekend (damn you for wanting days off FedEx! lol) but the did the confirmation? I am a 5/18 order, so I am hoping they cruise right along next week, even with a holiday in the way.

I know I have the correct number, I've called telesales twice and they gave me the same number both times.

What I was told by the CSR is that because it was ordered over the phone (I ordered my over the phone to) that you aren't able to track it online. That's for store orders and online orders. I haven't been able to track mine either. If that's accurate, then why even give us the stupid number? lol

I'm in that exact situation. Supposedly my phone is at the airport. I did call and ask if I could pick up the phone and was told by Fedex that Verizon's policy was for there to be one delivery attempt prior to the phone being available for pick up. Of course, true that that may be, it probably depends on the Fedex place on if they'll let you pick it up.

I know the location of my pick-up place but wasn't sure if there's a way to call them directly. I didn't locate a number on the Fedex site.

Glad I'll be sending Monday all day on a boat so I am not twiddling my thumbs waiting for Tuesday. :P

All of you still waiting should go check your best buys. A bunch of the stores received a shipment late last night and lots of them have them today. I was a 5/16, and was looking at getting my phone Friday. I now have a DI sitting on my desk charging begging to be played with.

If anyone decides to cancel their order, and ordered online, the online sales reps won't let you cancel the order. So you'll have to refuse the shipment when it comes and then you'll be credited what was paid.

Really did you lose any money making the switch ? you waited this long, I think this forum is messing with peoples' heads. You would have had your phone this Tuesday or Wednesday. Well I'm one to talk I'm still looking at this thing on a holiday weekend. Good luck and enjoy your phone.

Ordered from WireFly the morning of 5/20 and received shipping notice/tracking number 5/29. Website indicated 2-3 week delay at the time I ordered. It should be here by Wednesday 6/2 according to the tracking info. :D
 
I ordered 2 phones on Monday 5/24 from Wirefly with 2nd day shipping ($207 after Bing cash back). I was told it was backordered 2-3 weeks. Just got my confirmation e-mail that they shipped today via next day with FedEx and are scheduled to arrive on 6/1 due to the holiday on Monday!!! First time user of Wirefly and liking it so far :-)
 
is there any difference ordering in the store versus online? All stores are out of it in my area and don't feel like driving to one just to order it.
